Pioneer Camp w/YELLS at Lutheridge Grades 3-5 June 12-18 $438/camper until March 15 Swimming, crafts, games, hikes, skits, singing, worship, campfire, creative bible study and tons of outdoor fun await you at Lutheridge! LCR is gathering a group to journey together to camp on this week, and for every camper we send, our friends at the YELLS afterschool program are able to send a camper for half price. Registration: Sign-up through LCR and we will send you registration instructions. This helps us to coordinate the campers with YELLS. Price increases after March 15.
AFFIRM Rising Grades 6-12 June 19-24 $425/youth, scholarships available through LCR AFFIRM is the summer youth event of the ELCA Southeastern Synod. It’s purpose is to nurture faith, equip youth leaders for today and tomorrow, and train youth in discipleship skills. Ten different age appropriate units are offered each year at this overnight camp hosted at Berry College. Registration: Directly through the synod at sesyouth.org and notify Andrea Roche, so that she can coordinate scholarships & recommendations.
Surf Shack Vacation Bible School Age 3 - Rising Grade 6 July 11-15, 9a-12p $20/child or $50/family until May 31, scholarships available through LCR Catch the wave of God’s amazing love this summer at LCR! At Surf Shack, your child will discover an interactive, energizing Bible-based program that explores how to serve God and experience God’s amazing presence in their life. Registration: Opens on Feb. 15 at LCRmarietta.org/summer. Prices will increase on June 1 to $25/child, $60/family.
Seussical the Musical Age 3-5: 9a-12p / Rising Grades 1- 8: 9a-3p July 18-22 Prices vary based on age, multiple child discounts available LCR is pleased to welcome back Forefront Arts to host their creative drama camps on-site! In Seussical, Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in this spectacular show! Pre and Post care available for additional fees. Win Our World (WOW) Urban Ministry Rising Grade 6 & Up July 17-22 $300/youth, scholarships available through LCR WOW is an urban ministry mission camp hosted by St. John’s Lutheran in Knoxville, TN. Our week is spent building leadership skills, learning about the needs of the poor and disenfranchised, identifying ways we are called to care for them as Jesus did, and going into the Knoxville community to live out that calling. This has been a powerful experience for LCR youth and adults for many years now! Any adults are welcome to join us; this ministry is impactful for disciples of ALL ages. If you sign-up as a chaperone, the cost of the trip is covered. Registration: LCR registers with WOW as a group. We have 30 spots reserved and they will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Please contact Andrea Roche to claim your spot! Non-refundable deposits of $50/person are due by March 9. Checks should be made out to LCR with “WOW” noted in the memo line of the check and the envelope.
Project S.I.M. (Serving in Marietta) Rising Grades 7-12 June 4, 11, 18, 25, 8a-5p Cost TBD Project S.I.M. is a local service and leadership experience inspired by W.O.W. Every Saturday in June, we’re inviting all LCR youth and their friends to a unique experience of worship, community outreach and conversations about social justice. This project is developed by youth, for youth. Each week will be it’s own program - come once or for all four weeks! Registration: LCR will open registration for this program on March 1. Spaces will be limited each week and spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Details & cost will be made available at LCRmarietta.org/summer and in the LCR Weekly newsletter.
Every Thursday in June from 1-3pm kids ages 5 & under are invited to bring their parent/guardian to the LCR playground for a community play date. We’ll have snacks plus a different special activity or guest each week. No registration or RSVP required. Parent or guardian must be present. All are welcome!

Our summer sermon series this year will focus on understanding our new Milestone Ministries program. Each week’s Sunday sermon will delve into the biblical basis for each milestone: Baptism, First Bible, First Communion, Confirmation, Graduation, Daily Discipleship, Weekly Worship, Small Groups, Annual Pilgrimage, Growth in Generosity. The sermon series will begin on June 5. Wednesday nights beginning June 8 we’ll have casual, open discussions about what these milestones mean for our lives and how we live them out at LCR. Appetizers and snacks provided; conversations begin at 7pm. No registration or RSVP required.
