Coteccons was founded in 2004 from a privatization process of a construction subsidiary of Fico Corporation with the initial charter capital of VND 15.2 billion. Mr. Nguyen Ba Duong together with more than 50 staff had built and developed Coteccons from a subsidiary to a large construction corporation with annual revenue growth of more than 50%; Coteccons holds more than 2,000 professional staff with graduate level upwards. On 2010, Coteccons was listed on Vietnam stock market, the company’s charter capital was increased to VND 307.5 billion; Coteccons developed to a group model, known as Coteccons Group with subsidiaries consisting of the following members: Unicons, Ricons, FCC infrastructure construction company (founded in 2014); in addition, Coteccons has a representative office in Guangzhou – China. MANAGERIAL TEAM Mr. Tu Dai Phuc Mr. Nguyen Ba Duong Chairman of the Board of Directors – General Director Mr. Duong is the “Chief Engineer” of Coteccons in particular and of Coteccons Group in general. He is a decisive, straightforward and visionary. Mr. Duong always values the credibility in business. Having more than 30 years of experiences in management of construction enterprises, he has successfully trained and developed his staff into a team of professionals whose possess not only knowledge but also soft skills in management. Mr. Duong is the man who shapes Coteccons culture and grows Coteccons.
Mr. Tran Quang Quan Member of the Board of Directors – Deputy General Director Joining Coteccons since its early days, Mr. Quan is a dynamic and valiant person. Mr. Brian is an Australian construction expert, he has numerous experiences in construction accumulated from the time of working in first-class enterprises in America, United Kingdom, Nigeria, Zambia and Australia. He joined Society of Civil Engineers in American in 1968 and in Australia in 1981. In 2004, Mr. Brian joined Coteccons, since then he has been setting up standards in construction techniques, in quality management and labor safety.

“Our development orientation is always creative and innovative. Coteccons annually sends employees to visit large construction enterprises and projects in Australia, Japan, Hong Kong… to learn and exchange experiences as well as seeking for new construction equipment and technologies.” In developed countries, most of projects are implemented under generally-contracted form, not to be spitted into small packages. A contractor under this form shall become a general contractor helping Employers to systematically manage sub-contractors and suppliers. In 2011, Coteccons was the only Vietnamese contractor to be invited for tender and successfully won the bid against many reputable contractor all over the world to become the general contractor for The Grand Ho Tram Strip project, this marked a milestone in Coteccons’ history as Coteccons fulfilled its dream to be a general contractor. The Grand Ho Tram Strip is the biggest resort having casino activities in Vietnam, the total investment capital is USD 4.2 billion. As from practice, Coteccons managed and coordinated sub-contractors from Germany, Japan, Korea, Singapore… in a professional manner during construction stage. Moreover, we also suggested to change the designs and helped the employer to save more than USD 10 million. The project was handed-over on schedule, qualified and highly appreciated.

EXECUTION OF STRUCTURAL WORKS Many latent risks such as falling, dropping, electric leakage etc. are associated with structural works.
