A HOST of top jazz and blues entertainers will belt out their best at the Glen Waverley Food, Wine & Music Festival. Crowds can enjoy two music stages – the Kingsway Jazz and Blues Stage and the Coleman Parade Latin Stage, near Bogong Ave. Legendary rocker Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows will headline the Kingsway Stage from 6pm. Camilleri, one of the most committed and successful musicians this country has ever produced, and who launched the Black Sorrows in 1983, is set to be a fantastic drawcard of the festival’s entertainment program. The Black Sorrows will be followed by an impressive and talented line-up including bands from Wesley College, Sam See and Glynn Mason Duo, Lauren Gillard Jazz Quartet, Nilusha & Alex, Lloyd Spiegel, Sal Kimber and the Rollin’ Wheels and Jaimi Falkner. Melbourne Salsa will provide lessons in the popular Latin dance craze, the salsa, on the Coleman Parade Latin Stage and Melbourne-based salsa band, Bahia, will take you on a journey around Latin America with music.

MONASH will come alive this Sunday for the inaugural Glen Waverley Food, Wine & Music Festival. In what is tipped to become a premier cultural attraction for the region, this fresh Glen Waverley Traders Association event is expected to draw thousands of people not only from Monash, but from right across Melbourne. From 10am-8pm this Sunday, the Glen Waverley shopping precinct (Kingsway, Century City Walk and Centro The Glen) will be transformed into an
upmarket festival venue celebrating the very best Glen Waverley traders have to offer. Kingsway will be closed to traffic for the duration of the festival. Two music stages – the Kingsway Jazz and Blues Stage and the Coleman Parade Latin Stage – will feature some of Australia’s finest jazz and blues musicians headlined by Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows.
