ABOUT LEADER PUBLICATIONS, LLC Leader Publications’ roots trace back to the late 1800s, when its newspapers were first introduced to the communities they cover. The Cassopolis Vigilant first hit news stands in 1872, and the Edwardsburg Argus followed three years later. The Niles Daily Star debuted in 1886, and the Dowagiac Daily News followed in 1897. Later, the newspapers were consolidated into one umbrella company, and so Leader Publications was formed. Perhaps best known for its free distribution weekly shopper, the Leader is a total market coverage product, reaching

nearly every home in the greater Niles area. Over the years, Leader Publications has evolved with technology and audience trends, offering digital opportunities in addition to its newspapers, and later highend lifestyle magazines to supplement its news content. Leader Publications is based in downtown Niles, Michigan, and directly serves Niles, Buchanan, Dowagiac, Cassopolis and Edwardsburg through its newspapers, and the greater Michiana area through its magazines and digital opportunities.

CHOOSE YOUR AUDIENCE.

TRADITIONAL PRINT

Leader Publications produces two daily newspapers, two weekly newspapers and two shoppers, which serve south Berrien County and all of Cass County.

DIGITAL

Leader Publications has several opportunities to reach customers digitally, including targeted marketing, local digital display, social media and email newsletters.

MAGAZINE

Catered to upper income readers, South Bend Life and Michiana Life are two lifestyle magazines chronicling arts, culture and interesting people. These distribute in alternating months.

Leader Publications encourages a media mix. This means for best success in marketing, businesses should utilize multiple advertising platforms, which could include a mix of digital and television, magazine and newspaper, billboards and radio, etc.

OUR CUSTOMERS SAY... Our market is fortunate to have Leader Publications. They know our area and produce many targeted pieces that are valued here. Michiana Life has been enthusiastically welcomed and my client is thrilled to be included as one of its advertisers. It is progressive with fresh material and an elegant layout. This magazine has the look and feel of a large market publication; yet it’s tailored to our local communities. Well done!

For the last year, I’ve used Leader Publications’ website to advertise my business with a digital ad. In this past year I have seen an increase of traffic to my website, which has also led to an increase in sales. If you’re a local business, I would highly recommend using Leader Publications to get your information out there and to get more customers.
