AFTER TWO WEEKS OF PLAY AT ROOSEVELTS - TODD COOK AND MATT DESSERT SHARE THE TOP HONORS AT 28 POINTS EACH Table 1 hosted #3 Jim Pellerito against #12 Mike Bates in week 2. Mike did not miss a beat in the 8 Ball Set as he kept Jim on the seat most of the set with some nice shooting and decent safe play. When the smoke had cleared from the table, Mike had won all 4 games in the set for a 4 - 0 set win. In the 9 Ball Set, Jim regained his eye and nailed a win in the first game to get on the board. Mike won game 2 with a 59 combo to tie Jim. Jim then got hot and nailed back to back wins in the set and jumped on the hill with a 3 game to 1 lead. But, Mike being a very good shooter put together wins in the next three games to hold off Jim from winning the set. Mike takes the set, 4 - 3 for Jim. Mike opened the 10 Ball Set nailing wins in his opening two games which included a 2-10 combo. Jim found his only win in the set in game 3. From that game on, it was all Mike again nailing back to back wins in games 4 & 5 to finish the set, 4 games to 1 for Jim. Mike wins the match, 15 to 4 for Jim. Great effort by Jim and nice shooting by Mike. #1 Todd Cook vs #2 Walt Wnuk on Table #2 Todd got off to a very quick start

nailing wins in the first three games of the 8 Ball Set to get on the hill before Walt could get on the board. Walt then picked up his game and posted back to back wins in games 4 & 5. Walt was unable to hold Todd off and found himself on the short end of the stick as Todd finished the set winning game 6. Walt rebounded from the first set opening the 9 Ball Set with wins in the first two games. Todd made some nice shots and came right back winning games 3 & 4. Game 4 found Todd nailing a 4-9 combination to shorten the game. Walt jumped on the hill first winning game 5 looking to square up the match. Unfortunately Todd again made some nice shots coupled by some missed opportunities by Walt and put together wins in the 6th and 7th games to finish off the set 4 games to 3. Todd seemed to be in his own rhythm and started in the 10 Ball Set winning game one.
