Leah A. Kahler

Leah A. Kahler is a Masters of Landscape Architecture candidate at the University of Virginia. Leah holds Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology and the Growth and Structure of Cities from Bryn Mawr College. She delights in justice-oriented storytelling in, through, and of landscape, particularly in her home region of the Gulf South. Her current research as a Benjamin C. Howland Fellow explores the possibilities of an abolition ecology through speculative fictions at the site currently known as Louisiana State Penitentiary or Angola Farm. Leah also serves on the editorial board for UVA’s student-led design journal, LUNCH.
