We will uphold the privacy, dignity and independence of the people who use our services. We will enable the people who use our services to make decisions about their treatment, care and support. We will provide all of the information required, in the most appropriate format, which enables the people who use our services to make informed decisions about their care, treatment and support.

Be able (where they are able) to give valid consent to the examination, care, treatment and support they receive

Understand and know how to change any decisions about examination, care, treatment and support that has been previously agreed

When the service user is shared or transferred for support and treatment we will share the appropriate information required in a confidential manner, and support the service users to access other health and social care services they need.

We take action to identify and prevent abuse from happening in a service, we also respond appropriately when it is suspected that abuse has occurred or is at risk of occurring.

Cleanliness and infection control Leamington Spa Orthodontics complies with the requirements of regulation 12, with regard to the Code of Practice for health and adult social care on the prevention and control of infections and related guidance. Leamington Spa Orthodontics – Prevention of Infection Charter We have robust policy and procedure in place to meet the standards laid out in Regulation 12 of the Health and Social Care 2008. We include infection control training in our annual quality assurance scheme. Regular infection control audits are completed and any issues discovered are dealt with quickly. We carry out routine medical history taking for all patients.
