ITINERARY Day 1: Depart USA Depart from USA on an overnight flight to Malaga, Spain and begin your journey into a historic land brimming with amazing sights, a warm sunny climate, delicious food and amazing culture.
Day 2: Arrive Malaga, Spain (D)
Overnight: Costa del Sol
Arrival at Malaga International Airport where you will be met by your Chamber Explorations Host and transfer to your hotel located on the beautiful Mediterranean. Check in and unpack once for a leisurely 7-night stay. A Welcome dinner is included.
Day 3: Costa del Sol - Granada (B,L)
Overnight: Costa del Sol
This included full day tour offers a visit to the 13th century Alhambra, a fortified palatine city, built by the Nasrid Dynasty. Our local guide will take you to the Alcazaba Citadel and the Palaces of “Los Leones” and “Comares” residence set in beautiful gardens. You will tour the Generalife Gardens a UNESCO World Heritage site. The panoramic tour will show the many traces of this city’s long Arabic past; from the Madraza, the old Arabic University to the Alcaiceria, the narrow market, and close by, the Corral del Carbón, the old Market, the great Renaissance Cathedral and the exquisite late Gothic Royal Chapel.
Day 4: Costa del Sol - Mijas (Optional our) (B,D)
Overnight: Costa del Sol
You can spend your day relaxing around the pool, visit local shops, take a stroll on the beach or take an optional half-day tour to Mijas. Mijas is situated on the edge of the mountains surrounded by pine trees facing the Mediterranean Sea, near the Fuengirola and the Coast. This village is full of history and culture that still conserves the image of a traditional Andalucía village. Called the “Essence of Andalucía” where all the flavor of the popular architecture combines in its white houses with the barred windows full of flowers and its narrow streets. There are many places to visit by foot: The shrine of the “Virgin de la Pena”, Parish Church, the Bullring, the auditorium and the “Carromato (wagon) de Max”, a museum of miniatures. There are alternatives to walking, the Mijas Burro Taxis. For a reasonable amount one will be carried, in the traditional method through the narrow streets. Upon your return to the hotel, an International Business Exchange will be availableto learn about local business practices.
Day 5: Costa del Sol - Seville (B,L,D)
Overnight: Costa del Sol
Today we will board our motor coach and drive to Seville the capital of Andalucía which has a unique blend of Roman, Arabic and Spanish art culture. This city is renowned for its monuments and heritage. You will see the gardens of Maria Luisa Park, the Plaza de Espana and walk through the delightful “Santa Cruz” district. You will visit the Cathedral the largest Gothic church in Christendom, with its magnificent bell tower “La Giralda.” See the chancel, carvings by Martinez Montanez and paintings by Murillo, Zurbaran and Goya. You will enjoy an included lunch in a typical Seville restaurant.
Day 6: Costa del Sol - Tangier (Optional Tour) (B)

You can spend your day relaxing around the pool, visit local shops, take a stroll on the beach or take an optional half-day tour to Tangier. Today you can take an escorted optional day trip to Tangier across from Gibraltar. You will travel by ferry. Tangier is a Moroccan and cosmopolitan town to be discovered and was inhabited by the Phoenician, Romans, Vandals, Berbers and Arabs, with periods of foreign domination under the Portuguese, Spanish, British and French. All these cultures have moulded the character of the Tangier we know today. Visit of the crowned Souks, the walled area of the Medina, the Kasbah with its narrow streets leading to bazaars offering a bewildering array of goods, from copper to woollen carpets, and have the chance to film the snake charmers and the water seller. Lunch is included at a typical Moroccan restaurant.
Day 7: Costa del Sol - Gibraltar (Optional Tour) (B)

You can spend you r day relaxing around the pool, visit local shops, take a stroll on the beach or take an optional half-day tour to Gibraltar. Gibraltar is a British Colony since 1713 and has often been described as the shopping centre of the Western Mediterranean with its large range of shops offering a vast selection of goods. See the most spectacular sights on the Rock: St. Michael’s Cave which is situated at a height of approximately 900 ft. above sea level, this is one of Europe’s most dramatic natural grottos.“The Ape’s Den” with its tail-less monkeys which are properly known as Barbary Macaques. Roaming freely along the upper rock, these endearing creatures will enchant you with their antics. They are perhaps the best known of Gibraltar’s attractions.
Day 8: Costa del Sol - Ronda (Optional Tour) (B,D) Overnight: Costa del Sol A free day to explore on your own or join an optional full day tour to the cliff top town of Ronda. Meet your local guide and see spectacular views of the Tajo Gorge and the 18th century Puente Nuevo Bridge, Plaza de Espana and more. Also visit Plaza de Toros, the centuries old bull ring. You’ll have free time to explore Ronda and perhaps enjoy lunch on your own at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel. Dinner is included this evening.
Day 9: Malaga - USA (B) Transfer to the airport for your flight home with memories of Sunny Spain & the Costa del Sol.

This morning after breakfast transfer to the train station and board the high-speed AVE train. Sit back and relax on your rail journey as you enjoy stunning landscapes enroute to Madrid, Spain’s dynamic Capitol. Upon arrival, transfer to the Hotel Senator Granvia or similar for a two night stay. The evening is at leisure to relax, explore the city on your own and enjoy some Tapas at a local restaurant.
Day 10 - Madrid Sightseeing - Royal Palace (B)
7 Nights Cost del Sol: Pez Espada Hotel, Torremolinos or Hotel Triton, Benalmadena or similar. Hotels are subject to change. Madrid Extension must be paid with deposit.
Overnight: Madrid
Start your day off with an included city tour with your local guide of Madrid. Enjoy a walking tour through Plaza Mayor and the Mercado San Miguel ending with a guided visit to the opulent Royal Palace. The afternoon is at your leisure, perhaps a visit to see the priceless art treasures of the Museo del Prado that opened in 1819. Enjoy a walk and some shopping for souvenirs on Gran Via. The evening is free to enjoy your last night in Madrid.
Day 11 - Madrid - USA (B) After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home filled with memories of Costa del Sol and Madrid.
