Today we are going to cover techniques to write better articles. As with creating better value in your products, the key is to get your organization skills together. Before you ever start to write the article you need to know everything you are going to cover from start to finish. Even if you are not a very accomplished writer you can write an article that readers can benefit from and enjoy. I would recommend keeping a thesaurus handy. A thesaurus can be downright vital to creating an article that sounds better than all the rest. If you don't have one you should invest 5 dollars and get one. This one tool can make the all the difference in the world, and I can not stress that enough. In order to write an effective article you need to focus all your energy on the outline process. I spoke of some free software called x-mind in my article about what it means to include value in product creation. You can get the standard version absolutely free at http://xmind.net. The standard version will allow you to do everything you need to in order to create an effective outline. As I said, doing this is key, and you are welcome to do it the old fashioned way or any way you choose, so long as it gets done. Without an effective outline you will often times find yourself with a bad case of writer's block in the middle of your article. The time you will save not outlining your ideas is not worth the time you will waste trying to stop and think in the middle the writing process. When you are sitting down to make your outline you want to ask yourself one main question, “what is my topic?. After you have decided on a topic you want to contemplate about anything that might possibly be considered relevant to the topic you have chosen. Depending on the topic this may be a lot of things, or it could just be two or three things. Yet, if you create a good outline you can create an effective article out of just one thing. So remember that and put that knowledge to use every time you sit down to even think about writing something.

You want to pay attention to how you say things. You can easily make something that is interesting sound boring if you don't pay attention to how you write. This is why I say keep a thesaurus handy. You will thank me later for telling you this. You also want to make sure that when your article is finished, it includes all relevant information necessary to make it informative. This is how you create value when writing an article. There are many who like to read for fun when it comes to fiction, but if you are writing an educational article and lacks enough relevant knowledge to be educational, you wasted your time. Even if the topic you are writing about is something that many people have written about, you can always include more relevant information, touch upon the finer points of the topic if you want, break it down and tell your reader why you broke it down. Help them to have a complete understanding of every aspect of the topic if necessary, but at the very least cover what is needed for the reader to gain enough from it to be satisfied. Do not leave them hanging, do not leave them with questions. If you leave them with questions when they are reading the article for educational purposes in the first place, you accomplished nothing besides destroying your credibility in their eyes. Then from that point forward they will look elsewhere for their educational needs. You and I both know this is the opposite of the result you wish to gain so take your time when you are doing your outline. If you do that one thing you will see that the writing process will fly by. Where before you would have spent an hour and a half writing ten pages, you just cut your time in half by spending 15 minutes outlining your ideas. So why would you make it any harder on yourself than it has to be? Plus you increase your ability to write great articles by ten fold, and this is always good. I don't know a single writer that can argue with that. Another great way you can help yourself is to think of yourself as a beginner who knows nothing about the topic you've chosen to write about, and is just now getting curious about this topic. Write in a fashion that will take that beginner and put him or her where you are now.

By doing this you will create articles that beginners and moderates alike can benefit from, and by doing that you double your target audience. This is also always good. More people coming to trust and follow your articles, and the knowledge held therein is not a bad thing. Actually it's quite the opposite, its exactly what you want as a writer, and if you can accomplish that you will love how it makes you feel. You will also love all the credibility and notoriety you get from the accomplishment. Having said that, there are many out there at this very moment who are reading something someone wrote and just using the copy/paste hot keys on there keyboard. You will destroy any credibility you had, you will also see that this will, more often than not result in failure. Besides the importance of that, you will never have a feeling of true accomplishment, and most likely will end up feeling guilty. At the end of the writing process when you are looking at something you have written and finished, that is informative, complete, and that people can learn from, you will know that you did it all by yourself and you will feel good. It doesn't get any better than that. So stick with it and you will get better with each article that you write, you can't go wrong using these techniques so use them and enjoy.
