COMPUTER ROBERT BUNGE Robert has led the IT department at North Seattle Co l l e g e s i n c e 2 0 1 4 . H i s IT courses cover topics ranging from networking to programming to IT security. For the past 15 years he has offered IT courses at multiple colleges and universities, supporting learning at associates, bachelors, and masters degree levels. He has also supported technical certification programs in both regular and continuing education. A lifelong educator and a lifelonger learner, Bunge recently earned his first Amazon Web Services certification, and he has been demonstrating AWS and other cloud technology in the classroom for the past 10 years.

AWS Academy Cloud Foundations

Organizations of every type, size and industry are using the cloud for a wide variety of functions. This class is intended for students who seek an overall understanding of these cloud computing concepts. It provides a detailed overview of cloud concepts, Amazon Web Services (AWS) core services, security, architecture, pricing, and support. The instructor is available to provide assistance through the end of the quarter. This Foundations class is required for further AWS study in any of the specialization classes (Developer, Solutions Architect, Operations) and prepares you for Amazon’s AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam ($50). Optional e-book can be purchased in class. Prerequisite: general IT technical and business knowledge, plus good internet access. The course is self-paced and online. Weekly Zoom meetings will be offered each Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. from June 30 through August 18.
