Edwin E.S. Kim is the lead soloist of the Festival. In Asia, the violin virtuoso is one of the leading musicians of his instrument. He is the youngest professor of the well-known Hanyang music university in Seoul. Numerous concerts in Europe, Asia and the US. Melanie Chae Melanie Chae is the Musical Director of Studies of the Festival. Having grown up in Seoul she studied piano at the Royal College of Music in London. She mainly accompanies her husband Edwin E.S. Kim at recitals. Melanie is a correpetitor at numerous international competitions.

Cornelia Horak the self-employed soprano from Vienna has a versatile repertoire and is an internationally highly demanded opera and concert singer. At the Tyrolean Landestheater, Volksoper Vienna and the Theater am Gärtnerplatz, Munich she had solid engagements and could develop over 50 different roles. Guest performances and concerts take the singer to many European opera houses and festivals.
Stephanie Houtzeel was born in Germany and grew up in the USA. She is a Mezzo Soprano who is to be heard and seen in all important roles as part of the Staatsoper Vienna as of season 2010/11 (i.e. “The Composer” (Ariadne of Naxos), “Octavian” (Rosenkavalier), “Orlovsky” (Fledermaus). Guest performances lead her to big opera houses such as Dresden, Antwerp, Zurich. At the Salzburger Festspiele she made her debut under Zubin Mehta in “Falstaff” 2013. © J. Wessely
Carole Alston was born in Washington D.C. as a daughter of a Baptist priest and is hence familiar with the genre of Gospel ever since. She is an authentic interpreter of this music. In Europe, she performed in major Musical productions: “Jesus Christ Superstar”, “Kiss Me Kate”, or “Westside Story”. The composter Leonard Bernstein was thrilled by her: ”My God, You are fabulous”. In Austria, she performs with both classic and contemporary music: Jazz, Gospel and Blues. She also works as a pedagogue for Jazz dance, formation and movement at the Ballet and Opera School of the Staatsoper Vienna.

Siegfried J. Koch. is a trumpet player who already has an iridescent music career. At the age of 6 he had his first trumpet lesson with his father. Today he has engagements at the most important European stages of the Baroque music scene. He also teaches Baroque trumpet at the art university in Graz. He contributes in numerous CDs with different orchestras and ensembles. Meanwhile, he has produced 3 solo CDs as well.

Prof. Rudolf Bibl the “Doyen” of the Viennese operetta used to be musical director for numerous opera and operetta productions, as well as for all productions outside Austria of the Viennese Volksoper for many years. He did countless concert tours to Japan, the Far East and Europe. Bibl was musical director of the Seefestspiele Mörbisch for 13 years. On a regular basis he conducted the “Silvesterfledermaus” at the Viennese Volksoper and the Staatsoper. Rudolf Bibl is an authentic interpreter of the modern Viennese operetta.
Marija Jokovic the young Serbian completed her studies with distinction at the music university Vienna and already accomplished performances at numerous European opera houses. In the season 2012/13 she was a member of the Vlaamse Opera in Antwerp.
Jörg Schneider the Upper Austrian tenor used to be a Wiener Sängerknabe. Since 1995, the versatile artist sings at all important opera houses with his broad repertoire of a lyrical tenor. Jörg Schneider also has an enormous song and concert repertoire. His passionate playfulness shows especially while performing operettas. Jörg Schneider arrives directly in Lech from the Bregenzer Festspiele where he performs at the premiere of “Geschichten aus dem Wiener Wald”.
Hermann Ebner born in Styria, the horn player studied at the art university in Graz. Today he is a lecturer in the very same place. Hermann Ebner gained his rich orchestral experience as Principal horn player of the Tonkünstler orchestra and with the Vienna Philharmonics, with RSO Vienna and as Principal horn player in different international Baroque ensembles.
Peter Edelmann the born Viennese studied with his father, Kammersänger Otto Edelmann. 1989, Peter Edelmann was winner of the Belvedere singing competition and became a member of the German Opera Berlin in 1990. Since 2001, he lives in Vienna again as a self-employed singer. As baritone his opera repertoire includes more than 60 different roles. He dedicates himself also to concert and song singing. Since 2012, Peter Edelmann is a professor of singing at the music university Vienna.
Julia Novikova the young Soprano got her first stage experience in her home city of St. Petersburg. Her international breakthrough succeeded as “Gilda” with the TV production of “Rigoletto” in Mantua with Placido Domigo in the lead and under the direction of Zubin Mehta. 148 TV stations broadcasted the live event. Julia Novikova was a member of the Viennese Staatsoper. For 2 years now, she is a self-employed artist with a broad repertoire and in worldwide demand. © Felix Broede
Christoph Wagner- Trenkwitz the former chief dramaturge of the Staatsoper Vienna is a board member and chief dramaturge of the Viennese Volksoper since 2003. He is known to the audience as a presenter on radio and TV, as well as a cabaret artist. He is author of numerous publications and will be Director of the Summer Theatre Haag.

Vito Cristofaro the young Italian conductor studied piano and violin in his home region Calabria. In 2004, he started his conductor studies at the music university Vienna and finished with distinction in 2009. The versatile conductor has already directed orchestras such a RSO Vienna, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, Augsburg Philharmonics, and many more. Since 2010, he is Kapellmeister at the Landestheater Innsbruck. There the “shooting star” celebrates great successes. His latest premieres were “Les Pecheurs de Perles” and “Don Pasquale”.
