Driving with friends through heavenly Alpine scenery! HERMANN FERCHER CEO of Lech Zürs Tourismus GmbH
The Arlberg Classic Car Rally enters its second decade. The 11th ARLBERG CLASSIC CAR RALLY is also intended to honour the high standards of a historic rally in the midst of a magnificent Alpine landscape with a very special, individual atmosphere. Lech will be transformed into an Eldorado for classic car enthusiasts and car lovers on the last weekend in June. The variety of makes and models from back then and not least the choice of routes make the Arlberg Classic Car Rally something special. Also in summer 2020 the team around race director Armin Schwarz will ensure a varied track profile. We are looking forward to a colourful starting field and many spectators along the route. As in previous years, we will ensure a relaxed atmosphere from start to finish at the 11th edition and remain true to our motto: “With friends through heavenly Alpine scenery”.

into the Pitztal, via Arzl to Wenns, past the Pillersee and then to Landeck. From there the route follows the “old country road” past green meadows, alpine pastures and dreamy farmsteads that line the route. Back in the valley we are already in the Paznaun valley, we take the Silvretta high alpine road along the Trisanna. Passing well-known places such as Kappl, Paznaun, Ischgl and Galtür, we climb up to the Bielerhöhe at the Silvretta reservoir at 2,037 metres above sea level. Afterwards with “respect”, we will drive about 15 kilometres over 32 hairpin

Principality of Liechtenstein The route leads to the Principality of Liechtenstein on Saturday. First the participants will drive through Lech Canyon and over the Hochtannberg Pass at 1,676 meters above sea level along the Bregenzer Ach down to Au in the Bregenzerwald. The tour continues over the unique Furkajoch at 1,761 meters in the direction of Rankweil. Along the Rhine a scenic route takes us to Switzerland. From the Rhine valley we make short detours to Oberschan, Pfäfers and Maienfeld before passing Heidiland and passing through picturesque vineyards. Along the impressive St. Luzisteig fortress, we come to a lunch stop in Balzers in Liechtenstein. After the lunch break, the route takes us through serpentines up the Triesenberg. Back in the Principality of Liechtenstein, we pass the Vaduz Castle and descend to Vaduz. After a short stop at the princely Hofkellerei, we return to Austria. Shortly after Feldkirch, we set off on a beautiful final climb. The trail leads via Bludenz, Dalaas, Klösterle and Stuben to the impressive Flexenpass gallery back to Lech.
