Neu im Sommer 2018: Die Arlberg Trailchallenge auf der Strecke des Weißen Rings und das Vespa-Treffen Grand Arlberg Scootering. Wir freuen uns auf einen abwechslungsreichen Eventsommer 2018 in Lech Zürs am Arlberg. In 2018, Lech‘s Alpine summer will once again offer a diverse calendar of cultural and sport events in front of the spectacular mountain backdrop of the Arlberg. We are looking forward on a summer full of events like Arlberg Classic Car Rally, Lech Classic Festival or the new Arlberg Trailchallenge.

Ausstellung im Lechmuseum Exhibition at the Lechmuseum Spuren – Skikultur am Arlberg
Ausstellung des Lechmuseum in Kooperation mit ski.kultur.arlberg und Skiclub Arlberg
Was bringt moderne Menschen dazu, sich Bretter an die Füße zu schnallen und in Kälte und Schnee lange Wege in alpinem Gelände auf sich zu nehmen? „Spuren“ erzählt von diesem „Wunder in Weiß“: In ihrer Verbindung von Ruhe, Einfachheit und Einsamkeit einerseits und Wettlauf, Kampfeinsatz und Technisierung andererseits hinterließ die Skibegeisterung tiefe Spuren in den Bergen. Keine andere Region der europäischen Alpen ist selbst so geprägt von dieser einmaligen Allianz von Sport, Tourismus und Lebensstil wie der Arlberg – ein Name, der sich inzwischen weltweit zum Synonym für den alpinen Skilauf entwickelt hat. Neue Forschungen, unveröffentlichte Bilder und Materialien sowie Zeitzeugeninterviews machen die historische Faszination der Skikultur am Arlberg lebendig. Tracks – Ski culture Arlberg exhibition at the Lechmuseum in cooperation with ski.kultur.arlberg and Skiclub Arlberg. What is it that leads modern people to strap boards on their feet and undertake long journeys in the cold and snow? „Spuren“ („Tracks“) tells of this „Wonder in White“: Through the combination of peace, simplicity and solitude on the one hand and competition, combat missions and technology on the other, the history of skiing leaves deep tracks in the mountains. No other region in the European Alps is as marked by this unique alliance of sport, tourism and lifestyle as the Arlberg – a name that has since become a synonym for Alpine skiing. New research, unpublished pictures and materials as well as accounts from contemporary witnesses bring the historic fascination of ski culture to life. LECHMUSEUM.AT 7

Arlberg Classic Car Rally Seit 2010 findet in Lech Zürs am Arlberg die „Arlberg Classic Car Rally“ statt. Ein Event, das Freunde der automobilen Fortbewegung in Begeisterung versetzt: Das Aufkommen historischer Fahrzeuge und Raritäten ist imposant und Meilensteine der Automobilgeschichte bilden ein Starterfeld, das selbst Kenner der Szene in Aufregung versetzt. 2018 erwartet die Gäste wieder eine fulminante „Arlberg Classic Car Rally“. Unter dem Motto „Mit Freunden durch alpine Traumkulissen“ kurven die Zeugnisse automobiler Baukunst durch atemberaubendes alpines Gelände des Arlberggebietes. The „Arlberg Classic Car Rally“ has been held in Lech Zürs since 2010. It is an event to delight all automotive enthusiasts, who can marvel at the impressive sight of classic and rare vehicles and a starting field that includes enough milestones in automotive history to thrill even a classic car connoisseur. And in 2018, you can enjoy another brilliant Arlberg Classic Car Rally. Promoted with the slogan „Mit Freunden durch alpine Traumkulissen“ („Driving with friends through heavenly Alpine scenery“), these testaments to the art of automotive engineering will wend their way through a breathtaking Alpine setting in the Arlberg area.

Medicinicum Lech Genuss – Sucht – Gesundheit.
Über die vielfältige Kunst, richtig und gesund zu genießen. Im fünften Jahr beschäftigt sich das Medicinicum Lech mit dem Genuss – und seinem Gegenteil, der Sucht – als Schlüssel zur körperlichen und geistigen Gesundheit sowie grundlegendem Aspekt der „Art of Aging“, des Savoir-vivre und Lebensglücks. Genießen heißt, bewusst und lustvoll mit den Sinnen zu empfinden. Es führt zu Wohlbehagen und Gesundheit, verlängert und bereichert das Leben. Pleasure is about making a conscious and sensuous appeal to all the senses. It leads to health and wellbeing, prolonging and enriching life. The art of true pleasure has always found its own expression in different cultures, religions and regions: from food and wine through to physical culture, from asceticism through to hedonism. With a great arc of tension between healthy pleasure and destructive addition, in 2018 the Medicinicum Lech is exploring a topic that is fundamental to our quality of life.

Lecher Dorffest Lech Village Festival Das Fest beginnt traditionell mit einem Platzkonzert der einheimischen Trachtenkapelle Lech, bei welchem mit Fassanstich und klingendem Spiel das Lecher Dorffest eröffnet wird. Anschließend geht es blasmusikalisch weiter. Bands sorgen für eine gesellige Stimmung am Rüfiplatz Lech. Und natürlich sorgen verschiedenste Lecher Betriebe für das leibliche Wohl bei einheimischen Spezialitäten und guten Tropfen. The festival begins with an open-air concert given by the local Trachtenkapelle Lech in their traditional costumes, where with much fanfare and merriment the Lech Village Festival is officially declared open. Attention then turns to brass band music, which creates a convivial atmosphere in Lech‘s Rüfiplatz. And naturally various local establishments provide creature comforts in the form of regional specialities and fine wine.

Lech Musicians Day Eine traumhafte Umgebung, Kinder und Erwachsene in den verschiedensten Trachten, kleine und große Tänzerinnen und Tänzer, Musikantinnen und Musikanten und Sängerinnen und Sänger aus Österreich, Deutschland, der Schweiz und Südtirol, fröhliche Menschen aus aller Welt als Zuhörer – eine volksmusikalische Klangwolke von früh bis spät. Ein Fest in der ganzen Destination Lech Zürs am Arlberg. A beautiful setting, children and adults in an array of traditional costumes, dancers of all ages, musicians and singers from Austria, Germany, Switzerland and South Tyrol, happy people from all around the world enjoying the spectacle – the day is a musical treat from start to finish. Lech Classic Festival Einmal im Jahr neigt sich der musikalische Himmel mit klassischer Musik zur Neuen Lecher Kirche: In unserer Zeit hat sich der Begriff „Klassische Musik“, ausgehend von der „Wiener Klassik“, dem prägenden Musikstil am Ende des 18. und Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts mit Zentrum Wien und seinen Hauptvertretern Haydn, Mozart und Beethoven, längst erweitert. Das musikalische Spektrum beim „Lech Classic Festival“ umfasst daher neben der „Wiener Klassik“ längst auch die Romantik und Spätromantik. Unsere herausragenden Solisten werden wie immer vom „Lech Festival Orchester“ begleitet, einem Klangkörper von internationalem Niveau.

Once a year, the musical heavens descend to the New Church in Lech in a feast of classical music: In our time, the term „classical music“, which began with the „Viennese Classical Period“, has now extended long beyond the main music style found in Vienna in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, with its main protagonists being Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven. The musical spectrum of the „Lech Classic Festival“ therefore includes music from that time but also covers the Romantic and Late Romantic periods. Jazz Bühne Lech Jazz stage Lech Im Mittelpunkt des Musikevents steht der Jazz in allen Varianten, aber auch Zeitgenössisches hat einen großen Stellenwert. Qualität und Authentizität der Musik sind für uns ausschlaggebend; so gastieren Jazzmusiker mit internationalem Ruf. Das Besondere an der Jazzbühne ist vielleicht auch deren Größe, mit maximal 200 BesucherInnen haben die Konzerte doch einen familiären Charakter. Jazz, in all its variants, lies at the heart of the musical festivities, but contemporary music also has its time to shine. The quality and authenticity of the music are essential for us, which is why we host Jazz musicians of international renown. One of the things that makes our Jazz stage so special is its size; with a maximum of 200 audience members, all the concerts still have a personalatmosphere.

Arlberg Trailchallenge Der Arlberg ist bekannt für seine wunderschönen Pistenkilometer im Winter und die einzigartigen Wanderstrecken im Sommer – was, wenn wir diese beiden Highlights kombinieren? Aus diesen beiden Highlights ergibt sich die ARLBERG TRAILCHALLENGE! Die wunderschönen Pistenkilometer, die durch das legendäre Skirennen „DER WEISSE RING“ bekannt sind, werden von Trailrunnern, Bergläufern und Wanderbegeisterten zu Fuß zurückgelegt. 25 Kilometer und 2500 Höhenmeter, die es zu absolvieren gilt! Wow, was für eine Herausforderung! The Arlberg is known for its wonderful ski slopes in winter and its unique walking trails in summer – so what would happen if we combined these two highlights? The result is the ARLBERG TRAIL CHALLENGE! The beautiful ski slopes that have gained a reputation through the legendary ski race „THE WHITE RING“ will be traversed on foot by trail runners, mountain runners and hiking enthusiasts. The course involves 25 kilometres in distance and 2,500 metres in altitude! Wow, what a challenge!

Zu erringen gilt es die Grand-Arlberg-Trophys aus echtem Bergkristall! Herrliche Ausfahrten in der wunderbaren Berglandschaft am und rund um den Arlberg. Dazu unterhält ein Rahmenprogramm auf höchstem Niveau, mit Live-Musik, Performance-Künstlern, Scooter-Akrobaten, Expo, Museum und neuesten Scooter-Präsentationen – alles direkt im Herzen von Lech am Arlberg. Lecher Literaturtage Lech Literature Festival Literatur in alpinen Räumen Alpine Räume waren und sind Quellen der Inspiration für Autoren und Künstler. In Lech wird der alpine Raum zum Lesungssaal. Unterschiedliche literarische Formen werden so in neuem Gewand präsentiert und es entstehen neue Begegnungsmöglichkeiten zwischen Autor und Zuhörer. Literature in alpine spaces. The Alps have long been a source of inspiration for authors and artists, and that continues to this day. In Lech, the Alpine region becomes a literary saloon. Various literary forms are presented in a new look and there are opportunities for the audience to meet the authors.

Best of the Alps Golfturnier Best of the Alps golf tournament Bereits zum achten Mal findet in mittlerweile 10 der 12 klassischen Alpenorte ein Turnier der „Best of the Alps“-Serie statt. Die Plätze gehören teilweise zu den traditionsreichsten Plätzen im Alpenraum und bieten Golfsport vom Feinsten. Landschaftlich einzigartig, garantiert der atemberaubende Blick auf Mont Blanc, Eiger-Nordwand, die Dolomiten und jetzt auch auf das Omeshorn in Lech höchsten Spielgenuss. The golf tournament of „Best of the Alps“ is already in its eight round and stops in Lech on September 15th. In 10 out of 12 famous alpine resorts tournaments over the season are played and a combined result is nominated. The golf courses with a long tradition offer the best quality of golf sports embedded in the most amazing alpine landscapes of Mont Blanc, Eiger North Face, Dolomites and now als the Omeshorn in Lech am Arlberg.

22. Philosophicum Lech Die HÖLLE. Kulturen des Unerträglichen Die Hölle, das sind die anderen. Seit Jean-Paul Sartres existentialistischer Deutung der Hölle ist klar: Es sind die Menschen selbst, die sich ihr eigenes und das Leben der anderen zur Hölle machen. Das ursprünglich religiös gedachte Modell der Hölle wird zur Metapher, mit der wir jene Situationen beschreiben, die als unzumutbar, quälend, letztlich unerträglich empfunden werden. Beim 22. Philosophicum Lech werden Philosophen, Kultur- und Sozialwissenschaftler und Vertreter benachbarter Disziplinen über die Hölle und ihre religiösen und weltlichen Dimensionen referieren und die Frage, was es bedeutet, dass ein überholtes theologisches Konzept zum Inbegriff unerträglicher menschlicher Zustände werden konnte, mit dem Publikum diskutieren.
HELL.Cultures of the unbearable. Hell is other people. Jean-Paul Sartre‘s existentialist interpretation of hell is clear: It is people themselves who make their lives and the lives of others hell. Originally a religious concept, hell has since become a metaphor that we use to describe any situation that is seen as intolerable, torturous, ultimately unbearable. At the 22nd Philosophicum Lech, philosophers, cultural scientists, sociologists and representatives of neighbouring disciplines will explore the topic of hell and its religious and secular dimensions, and discuss with the audience the significance of the fact that an outdated theological concept has become a byword for unbearable human conditions.
