Getting here & local travel TRAVELLING BY CAR Vignette toll stickers Motorways and dual carriageways in Austria are subject to tolls. Vignette toll stickers are available at border crossings, petrol stations, post offices, tobacco shops, from your automobile association and from Lech Zürs Tourismus. The legend of the Arlberg is based on the region's whole-hearted devotion to skiing. Snow White has paid a visit! White is and always be will the favourite colour of skiing enthusiasts who include locals as well as guests. The key to all-round happiness is the Ski Arlberg Ski Pass, a ticket that grants access to all 88 cable cars, over 300 kilometres of ski runs and more than 200 km of powder snow runs across the entire Arlberg region.

NEW ON THE ARLBERG

A new dimension of skiing Our great passion for skiing has been burning in the Arlberg region for over 100 years. In addition to being the birthplace of Alpine skiing, Ski Arlberg’s incredible size and high quality in all aspects will impress you. With the construction of the Flexenbahn cable car in 2016, Ski Arlberg became the largest contiguous ski area in Austria and one of the 5 largest ski resorts in the world with 88 lifts and more than 300 kilometres of downhill ski runs. Two of the 88 cable cars were upgraded in the summer of 2021.

L AT E S T N E W S F R O M L E C H ZÜRS The Zugerberg and Madloch chairlifts, two central connecting lifts between Lech/Oberlech, Zürs and Zug, will be replaced by two state-of-theart cable cars from the 2021/22 winter season. In future, a new 10-passenger gondola lift will transport guests up to the Zugerberg mountain while the new Madlochjoch 6-seater chairlift will provide a major upgrade to the ski resort.

F R E E R I D I N G PA R A D I S E Let this number sink in for a moment: nine meters of fresh snow. This is the amount of snow which has fallen on average on the Arlberg since 1946/47. The combination of naturally abundant snow, variety of powder snow routes and increased safety thanks to the densely forested areas attract off-piste enthusiasts: the Arlberg is extremely popular among freeriders for good reason.

S N O W PA R K At a size of 3.6 hectares, the Snowpark Lech boasts numerous obstacles, all carefully shaped by the park's crew every day with the same passion the riders later dedicate to perfecting their tricks. Located at 1600 metres above sea level, the Snowpark meets the requirements of both professionals and beginners. Partly negotiating narrow, high-Alpine trails, the themed trail leads hikers through the charming natural landscape and – over 57 stations – introduces them to the sites, places of residence and fairytales which have shaped the history of the Walser people. ARLBERGTRAIL Starting in the summer of 2021, the sporty new long-distance Arlberg Trail will connect all five Arlberg resorts (Lech, Zürs, Stuben, St. Anton and St. Christoph). In three stages and with the help of cable cars, a total of 40km of hiking trails can be completed against the backdrop of a fabulous Alpine landscape. Additional great services include a special Arlberg Trail Ticket, partner hotels and special services such as luggage transport.
