Salmon Days

Thank you to the Keyuties that helped Kiwanis serve salmon at Salmon Days! It was a great bonding opportunity for both Kiwanis and other Key Clubbers, so we hoped you enjoyed it!

Key Club 101 Here’s a graphic for the new Key Clubbers on how Key Club is structured and how to get inducted ! (in case you’re confused)

How do I get inducted? • Must have 30 volunteer hours total (5 of which have to be sponsored by the Kiwanis • Must attend 15 after school meetings • Must attend 3 DCMs (which are held once a month) • Must have paid your $15 due

DCON What is DCON? DCON (District Convention) is the annual celebration of service for Key Clubs from schools throughout the Pacific Northwest. This year, from March 16th to 18th, Key Clubbers from all of the PNW will come together to the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon. Check out the video below to see what we do at DCON!

September DCM

Our first DCM this year was held at the Bellevue Library where we went over the structure of Key Club and wore letters to those affected by Hurricane Harvey What is a DCM? A DCM or Divisional Council Meeting is a gathering of Key Clubbers from all over Division 28. A DCM has a variety of purposes from providing our Key Clubbers with info, involving you in service-oriented projects/volunteers, to socializing with others Key Clubbers in the division.

October The October DCM was a joint DCM with our sister division, Division 27! In other words, that means our divisions are sponsored under one Kiwanis Division, Division 28. This month’s meeting hosted a talent show (held at Skyline High School) where we got to witness performances across both divisions.

DCM More of our talented performers!
