Step 1 Start by joining the front of the desk (600 mm x 284 mm) x 1 to the sides (268 mm x 284 mm) x 2. Drill pilot holes for the screws and countersink them. Then apply wood glue and screw the pieces together.
Step 2 Now fasten the back of the desk (600 mm x 284 mm) x 1 to the sides (268 mm x 284 mm) x 2 to create a box.
Step 3 You are now ready fasten the bottom (300 mm x 600 mm) x 1 on to the box. Drill pilot holes for the screws and countersink them. Then apply wood glue and screw the pieces together.

Step 4 Secure the 4 x 100 mm table legs to the bottom of the box. Position the legs about 2 mm in from each corner, then fasten them on with screws.
Step 5 Now secure the top of the desk (600 mm x 400 mm) x 1 to the base with hinges. Now all you have to is to fill the screw holes with wood filler and paint the desk in a colour of your choice.
