This course is ideal if you’ve already studied the Counselling Skills Certificate and want to prepare for Level 4 study. By studying this skills-enhancing course, you will develop strong research and writing skills to take you further in your career.

You will learn how to apply counselling concepts to your practice and build your confidence ready to start placement work at Level 4. You will also experience specialist workshops, such as bereavement, where you can develop specific knowledge of various areas of counselling.

Progression may include the Therapeutic Counselling Diploma Level 4, other further qualifications, or relevant employment.

Hoping to start a career in the health and social care sector? This part-time course provides you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed.

You will begin to explore the roles and responsibilities of a care worker, as well as care values and working as part of a team. You will also develop a strong understanding of the importance of good communication skills.

This course is an excellent introduction to the health and social care sector. You will develop your knowledge of the wide range of roles available in this sector, as you explore the responsibilities of care workers, health and social care principles, and working with others.

You will also learn the importance of good communication, person-centred care, safeguarding, confidentiality, and health and safety in the workplace.

Progression may include a Level 2 health and social care course.

Location: Quarry Hill Campus Duration: 1 year

Study: Full-time

Develop your care sector knowledge with this exciting course. This is an excellent opportunity to further your communication skills, and knowledge of creative activities, and equality and diversity.

You will complete a mandatory work experience placement, giving you real-world experience of working in the health and social care sector and developing your confidence.

Progression may include an apprenticeship, Level 3 qualification, or relevant employment.
