The Stafford County Board of Supervisors held three public hearings Tuesday night at its regular meeting, deferring decisions on two for more information and passing one. The board unanimously agreed to authorize a conditional-use permit allowing a 190-foot Milestone Communications telecommunications tower in an agriculturalzoned district on land jointly owned by the county and the City of Fredericksburg at the Rappahannock Regional Landfill. The facility would enhance coverage in the Verizon network and also serve commuters on a nearby rail line, as well as surrounding residents. The tower is set to be located at 489 Eskimo Hill Road, just west of an intersection with Potomac Run and Eskimo Hill roads in the Aquia District. The board briefly discussed two other potential projects and held public hearings, but deferred both for more information. The first project seeks to authorize a proffer amendment on approximately 42 acres zoned urban residential-high density, in the Colonial Forge area. Stafford Associates Limited Partnership, the applicant, is requesting the amendment for improvements in Augustine South to permit continued developBOS PAGE 2 ment in Colonial Forge. The
