We looked at some of the personal shopper experiences available in the city, as a must-try for anyone looking for extra style inspiration

All you need to do is step on the platform for a few seconds while your measurements are recorded and appear on screen – simple!

Whether you’re looking for of the-moment pieces to add to your seasonal wardrobe, or after a standout look for a special event, their knowledgeable experts are happy to help. This service is free of charge and available in both our Womenswear and Menswear departments.
OLD MARKET SQUARE Debenhams The role of the personal shopper is a key component in what’s special about how they treat their customers. Debenhams offer one-to-one appointments, groups bookings, along with a service for men. They can help you with everything from seasonal wardrobe updates, to finding that outfit for a special occasion. Booked from home, or directly in store; the service is available for free with no obligation to purchase.
Appointment duration varies from an ‘in and out’ express appointment of 45 minutes, through to a whole wardrobe update which can last up to two hours. All this takes place in a private suite where clients can enjoy a coffee and a chat with their personal shopper.
It’s here where they discover in detail what it is the customer is looking for, helping them pick out the items that match their requirements, all chosen from the great brands they have in store. Their suggestions may take clients out of their comfort zone – but this is where the fun is - and all part of potentially moving people forward with what they wear, what they like, and importantly what they might consider in the future.
We’d sum up the experience of spending time with the personal shopper as all about having fun, experimenting and gaining confidence. Helping improve how customers look and how they feel. It’s so popular that lots of their customers come back again and again.

Something that is often missed is that they also offer menswear personal styling advice. They make it easy to enjoy – even for the most reluctant gentlemen.
LISTERGATE New Look Offering a complimentary personal shopping experience with features that include wardrobe ways to wear, footwear and accessory matching, personal styling to suit your needs and glamorous night out tutorials, there is something for everyone at New Look. Plus, there’s lots of the latest fashion tips from their inhouse store experience team.
If you don’t have time to book an appointment, you can still get onthe-spot styling tips and advice whilst shopping in store. Whether you’re looking for a new look, styling advice for an event, or would like to speak with them regarding your wardrobe nightmares, they are available to help.
New Look also offer personal styling shopping parties for girls aged 9-15. This is a bookable-only service exclusively available at the New Look Listergate store. Events include drinks, treats, party bags and styling games. This is available all year round.
