The Key Is Authenticity The design of profitable food and beverage spaces hinges on a variety of questions: What are the zoning and life safety challenges? How can the design draw people into the space? How to make the queue intuitive? How many meals a day will the restaurant or café offer? How long will patrons stay? Are there opportunities for outdoor connections? Whether the venue is ultra-modern or farm-totable, Legat’s hospitality team answers these and other questions to create spaces that reflect an organization’s brand and origin story. The goal is an authentic environment that distinguishes the venue from the chain down the road.

Casual Café, buffet, or full-service breakfast. Casual spaces often convey a fresh and sunny feel. The space should cater to the harried customer who wants to get in and out, as well as the patron who might want to stay to get work done or meet with friends.

Outdoor Factors such as a venue’s position on the site, the angle of the sun, and the presence or absence of trees all affect the design of outdoor spaces. Weather is another key consideration. How many seasons a venue will be open impacts everything from radiant heater locations to retractable canopies.

Just as important as outdoor spaces are the indoor spaces that connect to them. In the event of rain, is there a backup interior space for a planned event?
