HarvXtra™ Alfalfa is the industry’s first genetically enhanced alfalfa technology developed to maximize quality compared to conventional alfalfa at the same stage of maturity, by reducing the amount of lignin in the plant. It gives growers the ability to better manage the yield-versus-quality tradeoff, and offers more flexibility in cutting schedule to achieve improved forage quality or greater yield potential, when compared to conventional alfalfa at the same stage of maturity.
• High quality alfalfa blend • Best use is seeding year plus 3 years of production

LEGEND NEXT GENERATION SILAGE PRODUCTS
LEGEND NEXT GENERATION HYBIDS LNG hybrids are built to increase milk production through quality feed value and increased tons per acre. LNG hybrids are the newest silage specific hybrids to hit the market since the introduction of BMR genetics in 1994 and are exclusive to Legend Seeds. Starch supplied from corn silage is an important source of dietary energy for lactating dairy cows. Leafy hybrids have always been selected specifically for softer kernel types and slower drying rates. Leafy floury hybrids feature the same leafy silage characteristics with even more available starch.

LEAFY SILAGE PRODUCTS
LEAFY SILAGE HYBRIDS Legend has responded to the requests of our customers and we are now offering highly digestible silage specific products that are fully traited for the growers that need silage specific products for fields that are continuous corn. These products have excelled in Legend Seeds silage testing and are a significant step up in yield and quality over dual purpose hybrids and are well adapted to the yield environments in the Legend Seeds marketing area. The most important management tip to follow is not to over plant leafy products, these products need the interplant space to maximize yield and quality which is why we recommend planting populations up to 30,000 plants per acre.

CORN TECHNOLOGY
GENSSRIB - SmartStax® RIB Complete® Corn Blend corn has 5% refuge corn seed in every bag. That means no calculating or planting a separate structured refuge ever again. No more separate, structured refuge. Simple and convenient. Fence row-to-fence row planting, thanks to single-bag solution. 95/5 blend – plant the most traited acres. Broadest spectrum of above- and below-ground insect protection on traited acres.
VT3PRIB - Genuity® VT Triple PRO® RIB Complete® Corn Blend offers farmers dual modes-of-action for protection against above-ground insects, a single mode-of-action for corn rootworm protection and herbicide tolerance. The single-bag is a blend of 90% insect-protected and 10% refuge seed, contains herbicide tolerance, a single mode of action for corn rootworm control and dual modes of action for aboveground insect protection - including corn earworm, fall armyworm and European and Southwestern corn borer. It is a great fit in geographies experiencing low to moderate rootworm pressure.
VT2PRIB - VT Double PRO® RIB Complete® Corn Blend corn blend is a blend of 95% B.t. seed and 5% non-B.t. seed. You get all the benefits of VT Double PRO® Corn Blend, plus the convenience of 5% nonB.t. seed, interspersed in every bag. VT Double PRO® RIB Complete® Corn Blend corn provides the broadest spectrum of above ground insect protection, two modes of action against corn earworm, and 5% nonB.t seed built right in, the lowest in the Corn-Growing Area. It also contains the first double-stacked trait with dual modes of action for above ground insects and maximum protection against corn earworm.
RR - Roundup Ready® Corn 2 contains in-plant tolerance to Roundup® brand herbicides, enabling growers to spray Roundup® brands over the top, from planting through the V8 stage or 30-inch corn height, with excellent crop safety and no yield reduction. Compared to popular conventional corn programs, the Roundup Ready® Corn 2 system costs less, while allowing hybrids to reach their maximum yield potential. While the U.S. regulatory agencies have given full approval to Roundup Ready® Corn 2 for commerce in the U.S. for marketing and consumption as food, food ingredients and feed for livestock, certain regulatory approvals are pending in certain export markets.
DC 5222 E-Z Refuge - The Agrisure Duracade® 5222 E-Z Refuge® trait stack provides proven corn pest control in a 5 percent, single-bag refuge product. Offering dual modes of action against corn rootworm, corn borer and ear-feeding pests, Agrisure Duracade® 5222 E-Z Refuge features the Agrisure Viptera® trait for control of ear-feeding insects and the Agrisure Duracade® trait, a unique mode of action for effective corn rootworm control.
3122 E-Z Refuge - Hybrids containing the Agrisure® 3122 E-Z Refuge® trait stack offer growers the benefits of a 5% integrated, single-bag refuge featuring two modes of action against corn borer and corn rootworm.
VIP3220 E-Z Refuge - The Agrisure Viptera® 3220 E-Z Refuge® trait stack offers corn growers multiple modes of action against broad lepidopteran pests and European corn borer with a 5% integrated, single-bag refuge.
VIP3111 - A combination of the Agrisure Viptera® trait and the Agrisure® 3000GT triple stack, the Agrisure Viptera® 3111 trait stack controls aboveand below-ground insects for increased yield potential, higher quality grain, and glyphosate or glufosinate herbicide flexibility.
VIP3110 - The Agrisure Viptera® 3110 trait stack features the Agrisure Viptera® trait, which delivers higher quality grain by controlling ear-feeding insects. It is ideal for growers for whom rootworm management is not a primary concern, and it offers herbicide flexibility with both glyphosate and glufosinate tolerance.
3000GT - Hybrids with the Agrisure® 3000GT trait stack offer control of corn borer and corn rootworm with tolerance to both glyphosate and glufosinate herbicides.
3011A - The Agrisure Artesian® 3011A trait stack brings together the elite class of high-performing Artesian™ hybrids for season-long drought protection and the Agrisure® 3000GT trait stack, which offers herbicide flexibility as well as protection from corn borer and corn rootworm.
GTCBLL - The Agrisure® GT/CB/LL trait stack provides season-long control of corn borer, as well as herbicide flexibility with both glyphosate and glufosinate tolerance.
GT - Hybrids with the Agrisure® GT trait provide excellent tolerance to in-crop applications of glyphosate-based herbicides.
GTA - Agrisure Artesian® GTA technology combines Agrisure Artesian water optimization technology with Agrisure® GT for tolerance to in-crop applications of glyphosate-based herbicides.
DC 5122 E-Z Refuge - The Agrisure Duracade® 5122 E-Z Refuge® trait stack combines dual modes of action against corn rootworm and corn borer with ear-feeding insect control. This trait stack features the Agrisure Duracade® trait, a unique mode of action for effective corn rootworm control, and is sold as a singlebag refuge product for the utmost convenience.

SOYBEAN TREATMENTS
GENRR2Y - Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybeans were developed through extensive gene mapping that identified specific DNA regions in soybeans that have a positive impact on yield. Using advanced insertion and selection technologies, the Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® gene is situated in one of these high-yield DNA regions to deliver high yield potential. Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybean seed and any product of a Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybean seed or crop can only be exported to, or used, processed or sold in countries where all necessary regulatory approvals have been granted. It is a violation of national and international law to move material containing biotech traits across boundaries into nations where import is not permitted.
XTEND - Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® Soybeans is the industry’s first biotech-stacked soybean trait with both dicamba and glyphosate herbicide tolerance. Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® is built on the high yielding Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybean technology.

SUNFLOWERS
What Type of Sunflower is Right for Your Operation? Sunflowers are a unique crop that gives growers the opportunity to sell into several different markets. But what hybrid is right for your operation? Whether it is NuSun®, high oleic, conoil, or confections, Nuseed has a hybrid that is made to perform in your field.
Key Characteristics Specialty Traits are important to consider when planning for your in-season weed control options and crop rotations. Nuseed offers hybrids with Clearfield ® or ExpressSun® herbicide traits as well as resistance to multiple races of downy mildew (DMR). Markets may be one of the most important factors in determining what hybrid is right for your farm. Whether it be a NuSun® or a high oleic hybrid for the crush or bird food market; a conoil hybrid for the dehull market; or a confection hybrid for the in-shell market, Nuseed has a hybrid that will perform. Root/Stalk Ratings help a grower to understand the strength of a hybrid’s roots and stalks throughout the growing season. Late season plant health can also be a factor in stalk strength. We provide hybrids that have been thoroughly tested to stand tall through the harshest of environments. Oil Content can be an important factor when choosing a sunflower hybrid depending on which market the sunflowers are being sold into. The oil crush market wants a higher oil content, but a hybrid being sold into the dehull market is less concerned. Test Weight in sunflowers can be important depending on which processor is taking the seed. Most birdfood markets, for example, want a higher test weight.

High oleic seed was developed through traditional breeding methods to deliver much higher levels of monounsaturated fats (oleic content) than traditional oil sunflower seeds. High oleic sunflower oil has a longer, more stable shelf-life, neutral taste profile, and heart healthy benefits that make it attractive for commercial cooking applications. A typical fatty acid ration for high oleic oil is 85% oleic acid, 8% linoleic acid and 7% combined saturates with some hybrids producing as much as 90% oleic acid.
Full Maturity Stable high oleic oil Very high yielding Uniform single-cross hybrid Best suited for full season, high yield environments

Camaro II
The NuSun® sunflower oil profile was developed by the U.S. National Sunflower Association, in coordination with the USDA, to create an oil essential for the food industry. NuSun oil has a naturally high smoke point and does not require trans-fat creating hydrogenation to remain stable at high temperatures. It has a good shelf life and neutral taste profile making it an excellent choice for frying oil. A typical fatty acid ratio is 65% oleic acid, 26% linoleic acid and 9% combined saturates.

CONOIL SEED The conoil is the most versatile of the sunflower seed types and offers opportunities across multiple markets including kernel, oil and confection. This seed is generally higher in oil content than confection seeds and realizes a greater yield. Most Conoil production is sold into the kernel market where the seeds are mechanically dehulled by a processor. This is more easily accomplished with conoil seeds as the shell is loosely attached to the meat and readily separates. The largest consumption of conoil seed comes from wholesalers, bakeries and sunbutter manufacturers.

LATE SEASON PLANT HEALTH
In the U.S., confection sunflower production is divided into three markets by the size of the seed grown. The largest of the seeds are sold in the shell. These are the familiar snacking seeds in a heavy black shell with a characteristic white stripe. They are generally over half an inch in length with half their weight coming from the kernel. The medium-sized seeds are mechanically hulled by the processor and sold into the kernel market. They can be sold raw, roasted as a snack or used as an ingredient. The smallest of the sunflower seeds are used in the bird feed and pet food market.

Clearfield
The Clearfield® Production System for sunflowers provides growers with new technology that delivers broad-spectrum residual grass and broadleaf weed control, including ACCase resistant weeds. The Clearfield system combines high-yielding sunflower hybrids from leading seed companies with Beyond® herbicide for superior postemergence weed control in no-till, minimum or conventional-tillage systems. To preserve the long-term efficacy of the Clearfield sunflower technology, certain stewardship practices must be followed. Clearfield sunflower producers are asked to help protect and prolong the usefulness of this technology by following specific requirements and recommendations to help prevent weed resistance. Herbicide-tolerant sunflower hybrids with tolerance to Express® SG herbicide. This revolutionary production system offers: • Broad-spectrum control or suppression of broadleaf weeds • A simplified approach to weed control in sunflowers • Improved yield potential through enhanced weed control • A cost-effective crop management solution • Complete re-cropping flexibility the following year Developed through traditional plant breeding methods Pioneer and DuPont researchers brought this tolerance trait to market without the use of genetic modification. Sunflowers with the DuPont™ ExpressSun® trait will be grown, harvested and used just like any traditional sunflower seed.

NuSun® sunflower oil is stable without partial hydrogenation. It outshines other oils for commercial use by providing optimal healthy benefits, great taste, and superior performance, while remaining trans fat free. NuSun oil is the ‘new’ mid-oleic sunflower oil. It is lower in saturated fat (less than 10%) than linoleic sunflower oil and has higher oleic levels (55-75%) with the remainder being linoleic (15-35%).
Seed Treatment Statement: All Nuseed hybrids are treated with the latest fungicide and insecticide seed treatment technology to help protect your seed investment.

LFS 501 LFS 501 offers farmers and stockmen many options. It can be used for summer grazing or haying or it can be left for winter grazing. LFS 501 produces very sweet forage when left to maturity. Emergence is good in cool soils and is predominately sterile if not pollinated from an outside source. LFS 501 is much sweeter and softer stalked than sudangrass hybrids. Haying Practices: Sugar content reaches its peak at boot stage to heading. Swathing at this point achieves high tonnage of leafy forage with extremely sweet and soft stalks.
LFS 701 BMR
SORGHUM SUDANGRASS LSS 410 LSS 410 has an outstanding forage production feature, and is sweet and palatable. It has finer stalks, fast emergence, good early vigor and quick re-growth. For maximum tonnage and palatability cut in the pre-boot stage. Cut approximately six inches from the ground for quick re-growth. It is disease resistant to Downy Mildew and other foliar diseases. Plant Height: 6-8 feet Usage: Grazing and Haying
LFS 701 BMR is a full season brown midrib forage sorghum for direct pasture, silage or hay usage. It has good re-growth after pasturing. This is a cattleman’s premier sorghum hybrid. It has exceptional sweetness plus it is a brown midrib. LFS 701 BMR has larger stems than sorghum sudangrass hybrids, resulting in excellent resistance to lodging. It also retains its large dark green leaves throughout the growing season. It is partially sterile, thereby not producing significant amounts of grain. This causes a substantial build-up of nonstructural carbohydrates (sugars) in the stem and leaves. The entire plant is more palatable to cattle than many other conventional hybrids. Significant animal gain should be seen over conventional sorghum.
LFS 901 BMR
LSS 430 BMR LSS 430 BMR sorghum sudangrass can be used for direct grazing, haying and haylage. It is a premium hybrid that has the BMR characteristics which significantly increases digestibility and palatability. The stems feel and look softer and will appear more limber with distinct brownish color. Increased gains can be expected when animals are fed equal quantities compared to other forages. This hybrid has long narrow leaves, excellent standability and re-growth capabilities. Disease and drought performance are very good and green leaf retention at harvest is excellent.
LFS 901 BMR is a dual purpose forage used for silage, grazing or green chopping. LFS 901 BMR is a brown midrib that has a very sweet stem with excellent green leaf retention. The brown midrib characteristic increases digestibility. It has excellent foliar disease resistance and maintains a healthy canopy until harvest. This hybrid has an exceptional level of sugars in the stem thus making palatability very high. These sugars also provide additional energy and nutrition. Large heads of tannin-free grain add to the nutrition level of silage produced. It is approximately 85 days to bloom. This hybrid is designed to be a one-time harvest hybrid; however it does have good re-growth capabilities which can be utilized for fall grazing after it has been cut for silage. Yield is good.
Plant Height: 6-8 feet Usage: Grazing and Haying and Haylage
