we are really looking forward to establishing a new hotspot for photography in Munich,” curator Stefan Huber explains. The gallery is part of the new Leica Store located in the centre of Munich. For this new meeting place for Leica friends, Leica has adopted an innovative design concept by Tobias Petri von Holzrausch, who has given the venue a modern, fresh look.
Visitors will be embraced by warm, natural wood and light colour schemes. The Leica Gallery plans to hold four exhibitions a year: “We hope to present international artists, as much as classic Leica photographers, up-andcoming newcomers, and representatives from the Munich area.” The Leica Gallery and Store will be inaugurated on October 29. An opening ceremony with the attendance of Bryan Adams, is still planned for this year.
