FROM THE CHAIRMAN Opening words from the chairman of Leicester Tigers…

by the government, with effect from tomorrow, we sincerely hope the pilot events provide a positive step towards welcoming you back to Welford Road as soon as we can. A lot of work has already been done to put systems in place to bring in supporters as soon as we have the goahead, and that day is one we all look forward to with some excitement. We always knew how difficult the restart to the season would be with eight rounds in a short space of time, alongside the European fixtures, and this is the third game in eight days. The team showed their resolve in the fightback against Sale last Saturday, as they had done at Gloucester the previous week, but admitted they had left too

much to do after falling behind in the first half. That spirit shows we are going in the right direction and illustrates the hard work being done by Steve, Aled and all of the staff to build a competitive team and a stronger squad. It was hugely disappointing, therefore, to play so poorly in the second half in a heavy defeat at Wasps on Wednesday, with Geordan and Ellis showing their feelings in pretty emotional interviews at the end of the game. No one is making excuses and the disappointments of midweek will have been felt by both Tigers and Saints ahead of today’s game. It will not feel the same without fans in the stands but I’m certain the intensity on the pitch will be unaffected between two great rivals. Finally, I would like to offer congratulations to Ben Youngs on behalf of everyone at the Tigers on reaching 250 appearances for the club and wish him and the team well for the afternoon. If ever there was a game when the Welford Road atmosphere is missed most, it is this one, a derby day against our oldest local rivals. Today we welcome the officials and players from Northampton, though unfortunately not our supporters - or the visitors from down the road - who help to make our matchdays what they are and provide the perfect backdrop for both sets of players. Last weekend, Harlequins were able to welcome the first crowd at a Gallagher Premiership match since the lockdown in March and it has been announced that Gloucester will open the doors to a limited number of supporters for their game tomorrow evening. FROM THE TOUCHLINE Director of rugby Geordan Murphy gives his view from inside the camp ahead of Tigers' Gallagher Premiership clash with Northampton Saints… The most disappointing part of the result and the performance at Wasps this week was the fact that we genuinely felt we’d made progress in every other game since the season’s restart. In the last few weeks we’ve played the top two teams in the league, Exeter and Sale, and pushed them both hard, and the feedback from their coaches was that we’d given them a real fight, even with the changes we’ve made in selection during this period. We’ve had a good look at the squad and given opportunities to a number of players. But to lose as badly as that at the Ricoh was not acceptable and, no matter how much it hurts to watch for our supporters who care so passionately about their club, believe me when I say that the coaching team and the players were hurting even more. After we’d started the game so well and built some real pressure on them, Wasps stepped up the physicality and intensity, and we didn’t match them. They beat us in all areas of the park. Wasps looked the hungrier side in the second half and that can’t happen. Teams cannot want it more than us. It was a bitter pill to swallow after seeing the progress of this group of players since we came together in the summer.

We’ve reviewed, we’ve looked at it, and we have a quick turnaround to today and no better way to re-focus than to have another derby game, this time back at Welford Road against our old friends from Saints. Today also presents an opportunity for Ben Youngs to reach 200 starts and 250 first-team appearances for the club, which is an outstanding

achievement in the game. Ben made his debut as a 17-yearold and has spent his whole career at the very top of the game with Tigers, England and the Lions, in a key position at scrum-half, and is rightly regarded among the very best in his position. He’s a credit to the club, to the game and to his family who, obviously, have such strong links to Leicester Tigers.

The Tigers shop at Welford Road has re-opened to visitors, showcasing the new 2020/21 range. After processing record preorders at its launch in July, fans will now be able to see the new-look strip and colourful training wear range in store. Opening times are currently 10.00am-4.00pm Monday-Saturday, though the shop remains closed on home matchdays when access to the stadium must be restricted to limit risks around the Coronavirus. Social distancing rules are in place in the shop, face masks are required to be worn at all times and the fitting rooms are unavailable. Contactless is the ONLY payment method available in store. Please note that products and sizes showing as out-of-stock online will also be unavailable in store but there are regular deliveries of new stock. JOIN ONLINE OPEN FORUM You can register now to join the club’s first Video Open Supporters’ Forum on Wednesday, (September 16, 6.00pm7.00pm). This event replaces the traditional annual meeting with the coaching team with restrictions on social gathering, and supporters can join the ballot for a place in the online audience. The panel will include head coach Steve Borthwick and head of physical performance Aled Walters, alongside director of rugby Geordan Murphy and club chief executive officer Andrea Pinchen who will be able

to provide an update on and off the pitch, as well as answer questions put forward by supporters. To allow the panel to get through as many questions as possible during the evening, supporters are asked to submit their questions when they register, any time before noon on Sunday. Following the ballot, successful applicants will be emailed details of the video call. All attendees must have access to a Zoom video call and successful applicants will be contacted via email on Monday, September 14.

CHANGE OF SCENE Tigers are back in European action next Sunday with a home game against Castres Olympique in the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup. Kick-off is at 3.00pm. Castres kicked off the new French season with victory over Agen last weekend and host Stade Francais in Round 2 before travelling to Welford Road. The draw for the semi-finals has already been made, with the winners of the Tigers tie due to face Toulon away or Scarlets at home in the last four. The other quarter-finals feature Bristol Bears versus Dragons on Friday, and Bordeaux-Bègles at home to Edinburgh Rugby on Saturday. We’ll have all the build-up to Tigers versus Castres throughout this week, with a full guide to the visitors in the pages of the next matchday programme. George Ford has returned as an influential senior player

SECOND TIME AROUND One of the features of the Tigers squad recently has been the re-appearance of players enjoying a second spell at the club and who are determined to make the most of it... There is an old saying in sport that you should never go back. But there is a sizeable group within the Tigers squad happy to prove those words wrong after setting out on a second spell at Welford Road. Academy graduates George Ford, Calum Green, Ryan Bower and Charlie Clare have all re-appeared at Welford Road as senior players, while Andy Forsyth and David Williams are also back as loan signings. Jimmy Stevens, who was unfortunately forced to retire this season, was another who came through the ranks and returned for a second spell later in his career. Clare, a former academy captain, admits the conversation about a return was a short one. “I’d had a conversation with Leicester probably once a year ever since I first left,” says Clare, now 28 years old and a starter in back-to-back games against Gloucester and Sale Sharks this month.

“There was nothing concrete or anything, but then this time there was a call from my agent. It was a very short conversation.” Circumstances and decisions vary, of course, from player to player but, after injury had interrupted Clare’s early progress, he went to play for Jersey and gain experience in senior rugby before being told he would not be offered a senior contract at Welford Road. A move to Bedford and a consistent run in the Championship provided the platform for another shot at Premiership rugby, first at Northampton and now back where it all started at Tigers. “When I went to Jersey, I had the opportunity to play for the first time in a senior squad and that carried on with Bedford, getting more game-time, learning lessons and developing,” he says. “But being from Norfolk, my family had that attachment to Tigers.

“In one of my first games for Saints, my dad turned up in his Tigers jacket. Dusty [Hare] was with them at the time and said, ‘You might want to take that off’. “But my family were excited when I told them I was coming back.” Green, like Clare a former Tigers academy captain from Norfolk, did make a senior breakthrough in his first stint, including starting the famous win over world champions South Africa in 2009, before moving on to Leeds and then Newcastle. When he returned last summer, among the changes that were immediately evident was having former team-mates Geordan Murphy, Boris Stankovich and Brett Deacon among the coaching staff. Green returned with a reputation as one of the unsung stars of Premiership rugby - and with the stats to back it up and says the benchmarks were ingrained as he came through the ranks at Tigers.

“I’ve got a lot of the same standards that were hammered into me from the academy side and when I first moved into the first-team here,” he said on his return. “And I’ve tried to keep that through my whole career.” Now 30 and with a decade of firstteam rugby behind him, he added: “This has always been my club. It wasn’t that I didn’t enjoy playing for other clubs, but when you grow up with the academy here, it stays with you. “They are the years you learn a lot about yourself and grow up, and you keep that. “When the opportunity came to come back it was a no-brainer for me.” A former England age-group cap, Forsyth also played on that historic night against the Springboks while still a teenager and he has now had a couple of spells back in Leicester as well as playing for Nottingham, Leeds, Sale and Coventry.

David Williams is happy to be back

After playing in eight games for Tigers at the start of this season, he returned to Coventry before donning Leicester playing kit again with the Championship campaign in suspension until the start of 2020/21, and he was in the matchday 23 for the Round 19 game at Wasps this week. After the early-season Cup win over Exeter Chiefs, Yorkshire-born Forsyth said he was “loving every minute” of being back in the city where he made his professional debut a decade ago. Among the group to follow Forsyth through the academy, local-born wing Williams had to wait patiently for his Tigers debut, running out at Exeter in August, having thought his chance had gone when he graduated from the academy. Brought up in Aylestone, a stone’s throw from Welford Road stadium, he played junior rugby at Vipers and Lutterworth. After leaving Leicester, he had a year with Ebbw Vale in Wales and came back to the East Midlands

to become a key part of the team at Nottingham, while also studying for a degree at Nottingham Trent University. Now he’s back and making the most of the opportunity. “I always wanted to come back here,” Williams says. “This is where I grew up, it’s the team I’ve always supported, and it was always the ultimate goal to get back here. “I’m thrilled to be back and I’m glad everything that I put into my work and my training has come off so far.” While enjoying a dream move home, his first chance to run out at Welford Road came in the closed-doors win over London Irish last month, which is not how he would have pictured it when he first dreamed about being a professional player. “It was all a bit surreal - my first time running out at Welford Road,” he says. “You hear the music as you come down the steps and you’re waiting for the roar from the fans and instead you get the bench clapping you on!

“Don’t get me wrong, it’s lovely, but it’s not quite what you’d imagine growing up. “I would’ve loved for my family to be there, and they would’ve loved to be there with some of my close friends, but it’s just part of what we’re all going through at the minute. “Hopefully, sooner rather than later, we can return to what we know.” In previous years, the list of players signing for a second time includes Richard Cockerill, Dorian West and Jamie Hamilton; Matt Cornwell and Michael Holford; and, earlier, Bob Rowell. Andy Goode and James Grindal, who arrived as teenagers and shared great success, also both returned later in their careers. Their former team-mate Brett Deacon is now on the coaching staff after two spells as a player here. He followed older brother Louis into the Tigers team and played in Premiership and European Finals for his hometown club, then returned after a spell at Gloucester. “It was a massive decision to leave, but the time was right,” he recalls. “The club explained where I was in terms of selection and I thought it was time to try something else.” He captained Gloucester at Welford Road in an epic contest which ended in a 41-41 draw thanks to a late interception try for the visitors, with family support split between the teams. “My grandad wore a Gloucester shirt with a Leicester shirt over the top that day,” he says. “It was a sweltering day and he probably regretted doing it, but the draw would have been the perfect result for him!” At that point, Deacon could not have contemplated that he would be back in green, white and red for the final years of his playing career, returning with senior leadership experience and also a point to prove. “One of the hardest parts of the decision to leave was thinking I’d never get a chance to wear the shirt

again. And I genuinely believed that,” he says now. “But then I got the chance and it was an easy decision to make. “I totally disagreed with the decision to let me go first time, but I wanted to leave on good terms. I have massive respect for the people involved in that decision and it shows you never know what the future holds.” So did it feel strange to vacate the shirt and see someone else wearing it during his time away? “When you think back to when you first have that dream of playing for Tigers and think about all the effort and hard work it took to get there,” he says, “and then you get the opportunity in the first-team and you think of it as your shirt. You want to keep that shirt. "I never really thought about it as someone else’s shirt, I wanted to think it was mine. That’s the way to make it your own.”

THE BIG MATCH Tigers host Northampton Saints in Round 20 of the Gallagher Premiership season...

Leicester Tigers host Saints in the second derby date of the week, with both teams looking to bounce back from midweek disappointment. After Northampton lost at Bristol on Tuesday, it was Tigersâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; turn in their first derby of the week at Wasps 24 hours later, with both sets of coaches continuing to rotate playing time. Tigers have lost three in a row since beating London Irish at Welford Road, but have lost just twice at home in the Gallagher Premiership during 2020 - against Bath in Round 15 and Sale Sharks in the last outing here in Round 18. Derby rivals Northampton have lost their last four Gallagher Premiership fixtures since also beating Irish at the Exiles' temporary home at The Stoop. They have also lost in their last two away games in the league, but have not lost three in succession on their travels since March 2018. Four of the last five league meetings have gone in Northamptonâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s favour, with their only defeat coming at Twickenham Stadium in October 2018. They have also won on their last three visits to Welford Road in all competitions. Referee Wayne Barnes is a veteran of these derby days and is in charge of a Premiership fixture for the 228th time this afternoon.

FROM BOTH SIDES Twins Jordan and Ryan Olowofela represent clubs on each side of the East Midlands divide. Former students at Lincoln Minster School, they played their early rugby at Newark RFC before joining the Tigers academy. Jordan made his Tigers debut in November 2017 and now has more than 40 appearances, while Ryan joined the England Sevens squad and then signed for Saints last year, playing in the cup derby at Welford Road back in October.

ELSEWHERE IN ROUND 20 Wasps have lost just one of their last nine league games, at home to Sale Sharks in Round 16 which was also their only home defeat since January. Bristol Bears have lost only twice in any competition since early January and their only defeat in the last six away games was at Sale in Round 17. Wasps have won the last eight league meetings. Their only Premiership defeat against the Bears since 2001 was at the Memorial Stadium in September 2006. Bristol’s only victory at the Ricoh was in the Premiership Cup two years ago.

London Irish have lost their last eight Gallagher Premiership fixtures since beating Gloucester in February. Worcester Warriors have slipped to three straight defeats since beating Harlequins at Sixways in August. Their only away win in Premiership Rugby this season was against Quins at Twickenham Stoop – which is now their temporary home ground – in Round 4. They have won three of the last four meetings with Irish.

GALLAGHER PREMIERSHIP TABLE

Sale Sharks have lost just twice in the last nine rounds, to Harlequins and Exeter Chiefs in successive games in August, and have been defeated just twice at AJ Bell Stadium this season. Bath’s only defeat in the last six rounds was at home to Wasps (23-27) on August Bank Holiday. They have won their last three away games and chase four in a row for the first time since 2009/10. Their only loss in the last four meetings with Sale was in April 2019 when the game ended 6-3.

Saracens have lost their last two games to Wasps and Sale but have not lost three in a row in the tournament since December 2017. After the Wasps loss they will be aiming to avoid back-to-back home defeats for the first time since February 2006 when they were at Vicarage Road. Exeter Chiefs have won their last seven games and their only away defeat in the league this season was at Bath in Round 2. They beat Saracens 14-7 at Sandy Park in Round 7 but have won on just one of their last four visits to Allianz Park.

Gloucester’s last four matches have all been won by the home side on the day. Harlequins’ record since the return of Premiership Rugby is won three, lost three and their 38-15 victory at London Irish in their most recent away game ended a run of five successive defeats on the road. The last four fixtures between the clubs have been evenly split, while the Quins' recent record at Kingsholm shows three wins and two defeats from their last five visits.

MEET THE OPPOSITION NORTHAMPTON SAINTS Today’s visitors Northampton Saints have seen their top-four hopes fade since rugby’s restart, following a first half of the season that promised so much. Chris Boyd’s side sat second on the Gallagher Premiership ladder after 10 rounds of competition, notching up six wins, but only two more victories have followed in a frustrating run of form since the turn of the year. A breath-taking win over defending champions Saracens on the opening day set the tone for the start of the league campaign for the men in Black, Green and Gold, with fly-half James Grayson kicking a last-minute penalty to swing the tie in their favour. Saints made it three wins from three matches with back-to-back triumphs over Worcester Warriors and Harlequins at Franklin’s Gardens, as George Furbank and Teimana Harrison grabbed try doubles as they chalked up trybonus points on home soil. A trip to a soaking Rec proved to be a speed bump as Northampton went down 22-13 in torrid conditions, but up next was the East Midlands derby back at the Gardens and Saints delivered one of their finest performances of the season. New signing Matt Proctor crossed twice for the hosts in a 36-13 win over Leicester, before they suffered defeat for only the second time in six matches away to Sale Sharks. Wins over Gloucester and then Wasps where Taqele Naiyaravoro barged his way over

in the dying seconds to seal a last-gasp victory for 14-man Saints - ensured the festive period was productive for Boyd’s men. But from there it has not been smooth sailing in the Gallagher Premiership. Having led both London Irish and Bristol Bears back at the Gardens, late errors cost Saints two more victories and took the wind out of their sails. A spirited home performance was not quite enough to complete a league double over Saracens, but before the unexpected hiatus, Northampton did notch up a muchneeded away win over Worcester courtesy of Mikey Haywood’s try and the reliable boot of Grayson. Since the restart, Boyd opted to split his squad into two teams of equal strength though the strategy has not yielded the results the Kiwi had hoped for, with defeats by Wasps, Bath, Harlequins, Exeter and Bristol ending any hopes of reaching the play-offs, despite a win at London Irish. Saints are, however, still in contention in Europe’s elite competition, the Heineken Champions Cup, and booked themselves a spot in the last eight following home-and-away triumphs over Top 14 side Lyon OU and the Pro14’s Benetton Rugby. Exeter Chiefs await in the quarter-finals next weekend and Boyd will be hoping for a derby-day victory this afternoon to deliver some momentum ahead of the crunch trip to Sandy Park.

The Stoop welcomed back supporters

Replacements play their role cheering, motivating and driving their team-mates on. With bragging rights up for grabs, their voices will play an even bigger role than usual this afternoon. We’ve made some positive steps forward on the pitch in recent weeks, but the game against Wasps in midweek was blatantly not good enough. Facing strong, first-choice line-ups has been a bruising but rounding experience for this new-look Tigers outfit and we’ve got work to do to transfer the learnings from training on to the pitch when it counts. We have, more often than not, started and ended games strongly and, with both Tigers and Saints having just the one win since the restart of Gallagher Premiership rugby,

this could arguably be the hardest test so far. Away from the pitch, there was a welcome return for fans to The Stoop at Harlequins in the first trial match to introduce supporters back into stadiums around the country. I hope that soon we will have the opportunity to open the doors at Welford Road in a similar fashion, once we have government approval to do so. You are well and truly missed. This will be the quietest derby day at Welford Road that I - for one - will have experienced, and it may be the quietest ever. But it is THE fixture every season every Tigers and Saints supporter looks for when the calendar is announced. The packed terrace, bustling plaza and noisy stands won’t be as prominent but, no matter the setting, the facts remain the same. It is Tigers versus Saints. Thirty-seven miles is all that separates the two clubs and the fierce rivalry of two cities who love their rugby. And over the years, there’s been some crackers. Tigers suffered only a second home defeat of 2020 when Sale Sharks claimed a four-tries-to-three victory last Saturday. And the home team were denied a losing-bonus point by a last-minute penalty. Sharks made the most of opportunities for territory from Tigers penalties to lead 20-9 at half-time with tries from AJ MacGinty and Manu Tuilagi, on his first return to Welford Road, and a cheeky dropgoal by Faf de Klerk. But Hanro Liebenberg’s first touchdown in a Tigers shirt - after he had charged down a clearance kick by de Klerk and gathered the bouncing ball to score under the posts - put wind in the side’s sails approaching the hour mark as Tigers fought back. Sale then led 37-19 after Denny Solomona’s bonus-point try on the left. However, Jake Kerr’s try from a maul and then some concerted pressure in the closing stages led to a try for Freddie Steward which cut that gap to just six points with two minutes still to play. But, having to play from deep in their own half from the restart, Tigers were penned back and, when the whistle blew at a breakdown, Sharks added the three points to deny any losing-bonus point. NOTEBOOK: Manu Tuilagi became the first member of the family to line up in opposition at Welford Road since 2010… Only Tomás Lavanini and Charlie Clare of the Tigers’ starting team at Gloucester retained their places.

Six second-half tries from Wasps inflicted Tigers’ heaviest Premiership defeat in midweek, despite scoring first in the derby encounter. Tigers, with only one previous win at the Ricoh Arena, led with an early score for Cameron Henderson, the lock’s second in three games. After a strong start, with skipper Ellis Genge, Nephi Leatigaga and Blake Enever all carrying well in attack, Henderson was able to score next to the posts. Zack Henry converted. But when Wasps got the upper hand at the set-piece and from a succession of penalties, they made it count with tries from Malakai Fekitoa and Tom West to go in at half-time 14-7 in front. Tigers were still in the game as it restarted but penalties proved costly, with little possession or opportunity to gain territory, they had no reply as flanker Alfie Barbeary completed a hat-trick of tries in a 16-minute spell for Wasps. Fly-half Jacob Umaga also finished off a midfield break from Fekitoa, Sam Spink dotted down in the corner and Zach Kibirige added another on a desperately disappointing evening.

Alfred Hind (2) and Jack Miles - who would become the clubâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s first homegrown England cap - scored tries in a 21-0 win over Exeter in the opening game of the season.

Bath were beaten 14-11 at Welford Road, with Bob Barker and Trevor Spence providing the tries.

1913

Scrum-half John Allen played his 457th and final game for Tigers in a 37-7 win over Bath, marking the occasion with a try. He sits third on the all-time appearance list and his contribution to the club would continue for more than 30 years as administrator and director, and he remains a life member.

Tigers scored five tries in a 19-5 home win over Bath in front of a 3,500-strong crowd. 1919 After opening the season with defeat at Bath, Tigers returned home for a 32-0 win over Royal Naval Depot with Eric Thorneloe, who would later spend 30 years as successor to Tom Crumbie as Honorary Secretary, making his debut on the wing. 1930 John Llewellyn, who had been on the mark in the season-opening draw at Bath, followed up with two tries in a 20-0 win over Old Blues at Welford Road. 1937 Mike Wade was born in Leicester - as a centre he would make his debut as a teenager on the way to 166 Tigers appearances and also won three caps for England.

1978 Tigers made it four wins in a row by beating Birmingham 35-15 in a midweek Merit Table fixture. 2002 Tigers sat ninth in the Premiership table after defeat at Sale, despite a try from Harry Ellis. 2003 Brett Deacon, Daryl Gibson, Jim Hamilton and Henry Tuilagi were among the debutants in a 29-19 win over London Irish.

1947 Danny Rees, a newcomer who would end the season as top tryscorer with 11 in 18 games, opened his account with a double in a 31-11 win over Bath on his debut. The game also featured a hat-trick of drop-goals from Mel Channer. 1952 Tigers followed up an opening victory over Bedford with a 9-3 win against Bath under new captain Denis Bolesworth. 1958 Cliff Shephard scored twice in a 25-6 win over Bath in the second weekend of the season.

Tigers Foundation staff are lacing up their boots to restart the charity’s outstanding delivery programme within SEND schools across Leicestershire and Rutland. As we continue our plans for restart, the Foundation team are looking forward to rebooting the work we do in supporting local special educational needs and disability (SEND) schools and members of the community living with disabilities. The Foundation looks to deliver a tailor-made approach to disability sport, focusing on the ability of the individuals involved and their opportunity to participate in activities that have a range of physical, social and mental health benefits. We feel - more than ever that working closely with and supporting the teachers and staff within the SEND schools is a priority, and we are asking the Tigers Family to help us in any way possible. Our programme is complemented and supported by some great partners such as Häfele and the Matt Hampson Foundation, both of whom take a keen interest in the work we do with the Tigers Wheelchair Rugby Programme. This week has finally seen the delivery of our new specialist RGK Rugby wheelchairs, which

COMMUNITY TEAM SUPPORTING TIGERS’ COMMUNITY PROGRAMME

School teachers across Leicestershire and Rutland are being encouraged to use a handy new tool to help enhance their lessons with the Premiership Rugby Champions app. The Tigers’ rugby development officers and community coaches deliver a number of education programmes in schools across the club’s heartland, supported by the app in order to provide a useful tool for teachers to utilise during lessons. Tackling Health is a six-week programme which educates youngsters about the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Alongside Tackling Numeracy and Tackling Character, teachers can access lesson plans and resources via the app and deliver them directly to students. David McDonald, education and engagement manager at Leicester Tigers, said: “We’re proud

MATT HAMPSON FOUNDATION Update from one of the club’s official charities...

The Foundation is delighted to see that Davidsons Homes have started work on two accommodation lodges on site at the Get Busy Living Centre. Inspired by a talk by ambassador and former Tigers, England and Lions forward Tom Croft, who now works for Davidsons, they have pledged to build the lodges at no cost to the Foundation. Tommy Cawston, Matt Hampson Foundation CEO, said: “It’s incredibly generous of Davidsons to continue with their pledge to build these lodges during such unprecedented times. “Once completed, they will allow us to further increase the support we can offer our beneficiaries, as there will be opportunities to stay on site at the Get Busy Living Centre and continue their rehabilitation after discharge from hospital.” • The final few places at our annual Foundation Golf Day at the world-famous

Belfry Hotel and Golf Resort on Thursday, October 1 are available to book now. Although we are unable to offer the sitdown dinner in the evening because of the circumstances around the Coronavirus and social-distancing, there will be some provision for a barbeque at the close of play. And hopefully a chance to have a socially-distanced pint in the 19th! Participants will play on Team Tins, captained by our patron Mike Tindall, or on Team Titch led by ambassador James Taylor and there will be numerous on-course competitions during the day.
