The National Hunt season promises to get off with a bang at Ascot with one of the area’s largest firework spectaculars. Top this off with an overnight stay and a visit to the worldfamous Camden Market and this weekend is one not to be missed!

For younger visitors, fairground rides and adrenaline attractions will be on offer throughout the day too, with gentler rides such as Mini Jets and Dodgems for the under-10s. Rides are free of charge until 4 pm and cost just £1 thereafter.

At Ascot, the £100,000 Sodexo Gold Cup Chase is the feature race of seven and there is also plenty of fun to be had off the track with fairground rides and an epic fireworks display after racing. Watch the horses from the Parade Ring and unsaddling area before seeing the action unfold from the raised covered terrace of the Grandstand, trackside lawns.

Camden Market is actually two marketplaces The Stables and The Lock - located right in the heart of Camden Town along the picturesque Regent’s Canal. Here you can pick up unique handmade jewellery and artwork, vintage fashion, souvenirs, Christmas gifts and so much more. Why not also stop off for an alternative Sunday lunch at one of the many food stalls?
