INVOLVE ME AND I LEARN INTRODUCTION

The purpose of our project is to improve the basic skills of our students in general, but paying special attention to competencies in Languages and New Technologies. These skills can increase one’s possibilities of insertion in the world of work and will improve the attainment of young people and will enhance their motivation for learning.

PROJECT BASICS: • A two-year project funded by the European Union • Partners’ Schools from 6 countries: Finland, Italy, Slovenia, Iceland, Greece and Spain • 12 activities utilizing ICT tools • Comparative Study among partner’s educational systems • Job Search Guide • Project meetings in all of the countries • Aims: to improve students’ motivation and involvement

This first activity is very important to warm up our students. First they imagine what our project could be, then they create -using a computer or notexpressing their ideas through drawing and painting. At the end they collaborate to vote for the logo of our Project.

EDUCATION LAW CONSENSUS LAW STABILITY

Since the beginning of democracy the Education Laws in Spain have been passed with the consensus of most political parties. However, changes of government have generally implied changes in Education Policies. Only the last Law- LOMCE- ,has come out just with the only support of the political party in power (Partido Popular). From 1976 Spain has had seven different Education Laws. Consequently, there is a need in Spanish society for some stability in the education system. The teaching and learning process shouldn´t be shaken every short time by political changes.

There is a general consensus referring to education law and also a basic frame, but according to the political situation and governmental changes this frame may alter.

• There was a lot of focus on culture and language and a good general knowledge. • There is a lot of history in Greece and many opportunities to explore and get to know the Greek cultural background. • The atmosphere is good, students and teachers are very positive. • It is a small country that seems to give a lot of attention to education and strives to improve students’ results. • The nature is amazing and students and teachers really seem to appreciate their surroundings.
