DUST 2 REWORK IS ANNOUCED Just 24 hours after revealing that the new Dust2 would soon hit the beta depot, Valve has released the map. In February Dust2 was replaced by Inferno in the active map pool, and since then one of the most iconic maps in Counter-Strike history has been under rework and it seems to be almost done now. According to Valve, it is “an updated, refined version but at first sight, it looks like the old Dust2 - just with new textures and minor changes. Many expected the skybox above tunnels to be removed to make it possible to throw grenades over the roof, but this is not the case for the map yet as the skybox still appears. 4
We have collected some photos of the new map below here:

The reworked Dust2 is still in beta, making it not possible to play yet unless you go to Library and right click on CS:GO and choose Properties. Then you navigate to the Beta tab and choose to download 1.36.0.7.-rc1. Valve is looking for feedback on the map, which will be continuously updated in the coming months.

SK BEAT ASTRALIS TO WIN BLAST PRO SERIES COPENHAGEN SK Gaming came from behind to beat Astralis 2-1 and win BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen. The first map of the series was Mirage, SK’s map pick, where the Brazilians got out to a quick 2-0 lead on the CT side. Astralis then replied on a shoddy buy, with Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth and Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen overturning a 2v3 situation in the following round to tie up the game at 2-2. Even after getting their economy in order, SK could not get a footing in the game as the few rounds they edged out were immediately countered by the Danes, who strolled to a 9-4 lead. With almost no room for error, Astralis tightened up their defense and began stringing rounds together. FalleN had a great chance to put SK back in the game, but he missed a clean shot in a 1v2 situation, allowing the Danes to reach match point - with Xyp9x dealing the finishing blow with a quad-kill.
8
Next up was Inferno, which followed the same pattern as Mirage as SK took a 2-0 lead but were then caught off-guard in a round that clearly should have gone their way. Astralis took that chance and eventually picked up the lead, but as things were beginning to get out of hand, SK reasserted their grip on the game. Down 5-10, Astralis kept themselves in the game with a successful B split in the pistol round, and they followed that up with the subsequent anti-ecos to bring the deficit to just two rounds. But after buying up, SK ran away with the lead as they could not be stopped until they reached 16 rounds thanks to another great streak. The decider map, Cache, began with a mid to B split from SK that was denied once they approached the site, with dupreeh picking up three great frags in checkers. The Danes’ fantastic run continued going into the gun rounds, Fallen wins MVP award with the scoreline blooming to a 9-0 advantage as nothing the Brazilians did seemed to work. SK began overtime on the defensive side of the map, taking a 2-1 lead, and they followed that up by winning two rounds in a row as Terrorists to lock down the map, 19-16, and the series.

NIP BEAT FAZE IN MARATHON TO DEFEND IEM OAKLAND TITLE NiP have pulled off the upset in the grand final of IEM Oakland, defeating FaZe in a best-of-five marathon 3-2. The best-of-five showdown started on Cobblestone, with NiP putting up a 3-0 lead at the start as Counter-Terrorists, but it was FaZe who came out on top of the first gunrounds on the back of clutches from Nikola “NiKo” Kovač and Finn “karrigan” Andersen for an eventual 6-3 scoreline. The European squad tried to hold off at 13-7 but never managed to string rounds together despite individual heroics from Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács and Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer, as the rounds kept going back and forth until NiP emerged victorious 16-10. FaZe kicked off Inferno with a 5-0 lead on the offense thanks to rain’s quad-kill in the pistol round and a triple in the first gunround. The next three went the other way, this time with REZ pulling much of the weight with three kills and later a 1v2 clutch. 10
Map three, Train, saw olofmeister and NiKo put up doubles in the pistol round, only to get shut down by f0rest and Christopher “GeT_RiGhT Alesund in the following forcebuy. Overpass was a one-sided affair from the get-go, as FaZe put up a wall at the start, grabbing an 8-0 lead thanks to bathroom and long aggression, with GuardiaN and rain reigning over that area. Only then did NiP find their first round as they capitalized on an entry on B and topped it off with another win, but that was all they could do in the half. The last map started with the two teams trading the first three rounds back and forth, with FaZe ending up on top after all. FaZe made things even at 9-9 REZ wins MVP award following a pistol round win before NiP took over, grabbing the first few gunrounds after early aggression. Timely plays from the likes of REZ helped the Swedes mount a six-round streak on the way to match point. When it looked like NiP would close the series, karrigan stepped up massively with a 1v4 clutch, but his heroics were all for naught in the end as the Swedes picked up the title at 16-10, 3-2.

12
The confirmation comes just a week after HEN1 and Lucas “LUCAS1” Teles revealed on Social Media that their new team was “set” and that it would be announced “soon”. All players on the team except kNgV- are still under contracts, which means that any organisation willing to sign the team will first have to buy them out of their current deals. Still, interest in the roster seems to be building as bit revealed that they have been approached by a number of organisations already.
