Kiyasa Group “Las Vegas Market is always good for us, and C153 Kiyasa Group, exclusive distributor of Prouna in the US, is re-launching Prouna’s stunning jewellery collection, Pavo Silver. Originally available only in a 5-pc placesetting, it now comes with serveware and decorative items. A symbol of protection, royalty and refinement, peacocks bejewelled with Swarovski crystals adorn the fine bone china with purple and violet accents hand-painted in platinum. Although each piece carries a part of the story as it layers the placesetting, pieces can stand alone or be layered with any other platinum accent dinnerware.

t’s the fastest growing gift and home décor market in the US and it’s back for summer 2018, taking place July 29 through August 2, with a record 4,300plus lines of cross-category resources and innovative, trending designs. “Buyers will find an incredible breadth and depth of product resources at Las Vegas Market this summer,” says Robert Maricich, CEO of International Market Centers (IMC). “Both established and innovative brands will be well-represented on campus, offering buyers and designers extensive sourcing options and an efficient, effective Market experience.” Las Vegas Market’s unbroken streak of Market-to-Market leasing gains is expected to continue, with summer 2018 highlights including expansion of gift, home décor and furniture resources in both permanent showrooms and temporary exhibits. “Las Vegas Market is maintaining its dynamic growth trajectory in the gift segment, with substantial numbers of high-profile vendors signing leases for new, expanded or renewed showroom space,” adds Robert. Seven leading vendors, in Building C, are renewing their showroom commitments, including Mary Lake Thompson, a designer and manufacturer of everything from aprons to napkins; and USA Pan, a manufacturer of commercial quality bakeware.
In temporary Pavilions, which includes the categories of Gift, Design Lifestyle, Handmade, Home, Design Home and Discoveries, there will be a total showcase of 500+ gift and home décor suppliers. “Las Vegas Market continues to expand and refine its Temporaries – with greater breadth and depth of categories and improved layout,” says Terence Morris, senior VP Gift and Tradeshow Leasing, IMC. The Handmade temporary section will present 80-plus artisan exhibitors, its largest-ever number of designer-maker and globallydesigned and fairtrade lines, and includes Sustainable Threads with its fairtrade and handmade tablecloths, napkins, teatowels and coasters; and Janet Ontko Clay Forms with her handcrafted sculptures. Within the permanent gift category, targeted growth is expected in housewares and speciality tabletop, handmade/ artisanal products and lifestyle gifts, in particular, with more than 32,100sq-ft of new, expanded and renewed showrooms recently confirmed. Here, the Housewares, Gourmet & Tabletop section, in Building C and in the Temporaries, delivers everything from dinnerware and stemware to serveware and kitchenware, with brands including Prouna (Kiyasa Group stand) with its specialist porcelain tableware; Beatriz Ball

Summer Market’s Ahead of the Curve programme will be held on Tuesday, July 31, where a representative from sponsors Luxe Interiors + Design will moderate an engaging panel discussion with three well-known interior designers who will share their insights and opinions about hottest new trend directions, using their favourite trends and products from the market. Among the other eagerlyanticipated highlights of Summer Market are the return of the annual Up on the Roof gala charity event benefiting Gift For Life; the fourth annual ANDYZ design awards, recognising the year’s best interior design projects; and the First Look trend presentation, spotlighting the best new-to-market products. There will also be a full week of educational programming and seminars addressing design trends, retailing strategies, and more. Las Vegas Market “ blew me away this year, with new vendors and so many new lines to explore. I picked up around 20 new vendors and wrote three times more orders than previous years. I especially appreciate the growth in Pavilions for Gift. Sue Fahje, retail manager and buyer, Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium, Omaha
”
I was pleasantly “ surprised by how much it has grown since the last time I came two years ago. I enjoyed the Pavilions and found new fun things there – high-energy, helpful vendors with quality products. It was great to be in a more intimate atmosphere than the larger housewares shows, with everyone friendly and helpful. Jan Boydstun, owner, Kitchen Kitchen Inc., Indian Wells, California
