PUPPYCHINO?

This is Chelsea the Pomeranian who loves the laidback Lennox cafe lifestyle and always says ‘Yes please’ to the offer of a puppychino from the Spotted Frog. Chelsea belongs to Jessie and Senga from A Colourful Life, right next door to the cafe, so they are all regulars and seem to have a permanent reservation at the front table. Reaching for the stars A total of 530 locals queued up in stifling heat at the Lennox Head Bowls Club on Thursday January 10th to renew their membership. It was an amazing act of good faith by these club members, who paid $10 for six months’ membership to a virtually non-existent club.

The turn out must have been heartening for the steering committee; a group of volunteers led by Pip Carter, who have been working hard to re-establish the club under a new name – Lennox Head Community Sports and Recreation Club – with a charter to

spread the net wide, and include a much broader section of the community. On February 6th they are holding another meeting for members, where they will formally elect the committee and office bearers within it. Continued page 4
