"Project" is carefully planned to achieve a particular aim. As a graphic designer, I always use this really simple word. However, this simple word contains a complicated process. Every time I design a new project, it makes me very excited. I like to do research, manage time, plan, brainstorm, create concepts, draw sketches, design, develop concepts, refine details, prepare materials and print them out, finish everything. A project requires a lot of effort. So "Project" is a really special word to me. In this book, I would like to share my 11 projects with everyone. A p p r oa c h : For this projec t, I would like to desi gn a brand and c lub for boosting teens' self-esteem . Fi r stl y, I wi l l use poster s to m ake teens and other people pay atten ti o n to my topic . Sec ondly, it w ill lead teens to visi t my websi te and join my c lub. A fter teens join this c lub, th ey wi l l get a free pac kage which inc ludes a brochure, a cl ub po ster, a m em ber ship c ard, and a m em ber ship T-shirt. I n addi ti o n , I w ill design dif ferent deliverables for teens fro m 1 3 -1 9 . O b j e c t i v e : Rebrand the existing GAEA olive oil identity and develop a packaging system for any two of their current lines. Create an organized categorization of the olive oil while keeping their brand equity in mind. A minimum of six packaging pieces are required at the end of three weeks complete with a new identity.

A p p r oa c h : Gaea was founded in 1995 upon finding that Greek agricultural food products offer high quality and good taste. The Gaea product range offers all the tasty ingredients indispensable for the finest, traditional Greek cuisine. I turned to the idea of Greek decoration with a modern twist. I envisioned the brand in its beautiful olive oil design, producing high quality olive oil for future generations. Taking cues from the age of Greece, I utilized the olive leaf, GAEA symbol, olive tree and Greek patterns on the labels. The combination of these elements kept the packaging unique and useful for different product lines.

O b j e c t i v e : Choose an established designer, arch i tect o r brand nam e and position them for the house pai n t market. A p p r oa c h : Eero A ar nio is a F innish inter i o r desi gn er, well know n for his innovative fur niture de signs i n th e 1 9 6 0 s, notably his plastic and fibreg lass chair s. A a r n i o studi ed at the Institute of Industrial A rts in H elsinki , an d star t ed his ow n of fic e in 1962. H is m ost fam ous fur ni ture, t h e bal l chair, is a piec e of art and t he ic on of m oder n desi gn . E ero A ar nio is really good at using sim ple shapes a n d vi vi d co l or s. So I foc used on two key words for my c on ce pt--si mpl e and c olorful. In this projec t, I nam ed the paint l i n e SI MPL E and used several dif ferent c olor s for design. I al so added th e ball chair to my g raphic elem ents.
