Functionality and subtle beauty take the lead in the work of designer Christian Werner. Averse to outward showiness, he prefers the power of detail thought through to perfection. Christian Werner (1959, Berlin) studied Industrial Design in Berlin and Hamburg. Since 1992, he has been working as a freelance designer in Hamburg for various European producers of quality products. He specialised in furniture, lighting and accessories, but also feels perfectly at home in other design disciplines.

The very essence of “Bohemian Blues� has been captured by the Leolux stylists in a moodboard, a collage of colours, coverings and interior elements.
A distinctive sphere with intense colours. The corner sofa and footstool are finished in greyed green-blue fabrics, accentuated with ochre piping. The 3-seat sofa is covered in the fine Raffino leather. That creates a rich palette of colours and materials for modern interiors with an elegant touch.
The richness of finesse You recognise the finesse of Oscar in the details. Christian Werner and the developers from Leolux paid special attention in the finishing to the light aluminium feet. These little jewels were specially developed and make Oscar unique. One distinctive detail is the flat piping on Oscar. Rather than following the obvious line, it is interrupted so as not to encroach on the round forms. The arms have an extra soft character. Comfortable support for the arms or, if you prefer to lay back, for your head. The loose cushions provided with a filling of eiderdown offer still more softness. The loose upholstery lends Oscar a nonchalant, wrinkled appearance. For the lover of casual living.
Spring of softness The Leolux collection offers numerous options to make Oscar your ideal housemate. Let us make you two suggestions: covering materials that give Oscar precisely that inviting look the designer had in mind. In the Calata fabric collection from Leolux we find “Fierra”, a velvety soft material in a large number of contemporary colours. This fabric boasts high colour-fastness, is functional in use and perfectly suitable for loose upholstery. The chenille worked into Fierra provides for a soft touch and a velvety nap that lends the colours extra depth. That gives the homely atmosphere of Oscar an extra dimension. “Raffino” is the absolute ultimate in pure natural leather that comes completely into its own on Oscar and becomes only lovelier in use. The connoisseur immediately recognises the subtle palette of colours and the suppleness of the leather, which is produced specially for Leolux from the finest Southern German steer hides. Natural attributes, such as texture differences, are not masked but provide this leather with its exclusive character. Some care is called for in use, but then Raffino leather is really an experience.

The soft tints provide for a lightfooted atmosphere ideal for rooms with lots of sunlight. We chose grey and purple fabrics with contrasting piping in leather. We combined the fabric sofas with fresh red accents.

The program offers a 2.5seat sofa, a 3-seat sofa and various clever modular elements. With them you create a spacious corner or merely a compact ensemble as you need it. The matching footstool is fitted with feet or handy castors to make moving it effortless, and the slumber cushions offer extra comfort and countless extra styling options.
