A continually transforming school will leave all participants inspired and motivated to add or embellish processes into their own learning communities. The entrepreneurial and creative spirit of the Napa region represents a metaphor for the inventive work Artful Learning educators and leaders use everyday - what better place to renew enthusiasm for teaching and learning. Festival Del Sole (festivaldelsole.org) coincides with the session, so further inspiration can be gleaned from artists, performances and events all week.

two distinct learning pathways Emergent Learners - Designed for those new to the Artful Learning methodology. Workshops will be designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the model and prepare learners to write their first Unit of Study or lead an Artful Learning School with a full-year of remote support.

Advanced Advocates - NEW! In response to participant requests, we are adding workshops specifically for those experienced with the Artful Learning model desiring more advanced support. Sessions will be peer designed by practitioners of the model and Master Trainers to elevate unit design and student learning experiences.

leadership quorum NEW! Artful Learning is uniquely poised to advance the conversation about leading education reformation through the arts. Arguably the most progressive leaders working in education today, the quorum is designed for our leaders to share insights and create a unified network for supporting each other and the important work ahead. Not the traditional think-tank - this quorum will turn ideation into action.

session cost & associated costs EarlyBird Participant Enrollment - March 6 - April 30, 2015 - $800.00 per participant / Increases to $1,200.00 per participant on May 1, 2015. Payable through local school affiliated agency or by credit card at Square Market.

Leadership Incentive - Send two (2) participants and the principal or small learning community leader Participant Enrollment is waived*^. *Principal/Small Learning Community Leader hotel, airfare (if applicable) and ground transport are not included. ^Leadership Incentive is still valid after the EarlyBird Participant Enrollment period ends.

Includes all materials, Educator Notebook (if applicable), and, one-year of remote technical support through deployment, feedback, and, conclusion of the unit and leadership. Upon successful registration, participants will be given an access code for the discounted hotel rate at Embassy Suites.

Lodging, airfare (if applicable), lunches, dinners and ground transport are the responsibility of each participant. Estimated total average $1,600.00 per person. Suites can accommodate up to three adults (additional charge for third person) Sharing a room and rental car reduces this by almost half. Participants arrange all personal airfare, hotel registration, ground transport, and, are responsible for meals not included with any bundled package.

Traveling to Napa - Three major airports provide access to this region of California: San Francisco International (SFO), Oakland International Airport (OAK) and Sacramento International Airport (SMF). Using SFO requires toll bridge fees when transported over the Golden Gate Bridge (toll on return only) or the Bay Bridge (tolls). Drive time range: 90 to 140 minutes. OAK is north of San Francisco and alleviates the iconic bridge travel and tolls, but adds shuttle transport to the remote rental car station. Add one hour to the drive time range of 90 to 140 minutes. SMF is the farthest from the Napa Valley and also adds one hour travel time with a remote rental car station. It does provide the easiest and less congested travel experience. Drive time range: 90 to 110 minutes.
