Where Technology is Alive, Online Learners have No Fears At present, I am working as a senior manager in a reputed bank with of course a handsome salary and a big team of co-workers. Well, it really feels good to work in such a respectable position, and for all this I would be grateful to my business school that helped me earn an MBA degree online.

To be honest, I feel that I wouldn’t have achieved success without this exceptional technology that let me earn my desired qualification taking my own pace. Now, what could be more convenient than taking advantage of studying from home under an accredited university and paying lesser than what you would have paid for a full-time programme? Despite, there are rebellions who believe that online education should never be encouraged at high schools since it might completely destroy one’s spirits to attend daily classes and also obstruct students from getting dependent on books. Well, I would like to contradict in this context by stating a few points:

- Why not technology and why books?
It was the year 2012 that fetched almost $1.1 billion to all the firms dealing in educational technologies. This majority of the amount came from corporations, business capitalists, private equities and big investors. In fact, a few reputed online course providers received over twenty million dollars solely from investors. So, I can argue with confidence that technology will certainly bring a stronger impact on education in comparison to books. When it comes to figures in billions, books can never bring such colossal profit to the world of education.

- Why classrooms and why not Hybrid learning?
What do you think is always a better option to learn? Heading to school every morning with a heavy bag loaded with books and listening to long-drawn lectures, or sitting at any corner of the world and receiving lessons through a modernised software application? Of course, the first option comes out of compulsion, while the second and the better one is initiated with pleasure. My point is why take unnecessary stress and pay lump sums in travelling and wasting hours attending a full-time school, whereas both these learning mediums are equally recognised. The intention is to get educated with pleasure and without hassles, and learning online qualifies for both these aspects, isn’t it?

- Full-time course fees soar year after year while Online Education is quite cheaper
Judging from the university level, the Online Courses are indeed cheaper in comparison to full-time course fees. Moreover, it has been found that the impact of Massive Open Online Courses has been quite powerful especially among the K-12 kids. Although some parents still believe that investing behind traditional learning might work out for their kids, the MOOCs are now proving worthier. Even teachers opine that they get better and flexible opportunities to not only educate their students online through MOOCs but also keep gaining ample scope to update themselves with time.
To be honest, I have fears whether the dominance of the public institutions in Washington would turn the polls against online education. However, students have nothing to fear while studying online. I know some reputed universities that comprise world class educators who teach students coming from all over the world.

So, if you are planning to study online, remember that you just need to enrol in an accredited institution, ensure that it has quality instructors, check its academic strength and review its study materials. Once all these factors are met, you can get going with your concerned programme without any fear or hesitation. Remember, where there is technology, there is life!!
