The built-in ventilation system is managed by an ABS shutter activated by four switches, two on the front and two on the back of the helmet to achieve the best air flow control.

Labyrinth Ventilation
Thanks to the construction of the 360° impact protection system, canals are located between the shell and the EPS. This gives to the helmet a brand new ventilation system which allows the air to spread out on the overall surface.
360° Impact Protection PATENT PENDING
The Carrera ID is a total revolution even in safety. Innovative special soft cones studded shock absorber panels are located underneath the main shell. During the impact, cones are free to move on a 360° base, breaking up the force of the impact on the head, from every side.
Adaptable EPS PATENT PENDING
Petal shaped, light EPS plaques feature active oval adjustability to fit your skull like a glove. The plaques will always adapt to head with a flexibility never seen before. A special air mesh thermoformed on EPS plaques keeps them together, to let them float inside of the helmet, without any bridge linking the single parts.
Elastic Shell
The new conception ABS shell offers a unique high adaptability and elasticity, easily reacting to the movements of the inner EPS shell, while featuring a soft and sophisticated touch feel to hands.

Slide the switch backwards and induction vents are exposed, sending cooling air straight to the forehead and over the head. INTRODUCING THE
CARRERA ACTIVE EYEWEAR COLLECTION Sport is one of the main pillars of Carrera heritage and during the years has always played a very important role. In April 2017, Carrera is going to reintroduce a dedicated sport active collection in the eyewear segment. For the first time, active styles have been created in order to fully satisfy the segment are referring to, both on sport and optical channel. The active collection suits perfectly the urban athlete consumer, both bikers and runners, in terms of design and comfortable fitting.

Polarized Lens The polarizing filter is an active element able to absorb reflections, in particular the glare caused by sun light hitting a reflective surface, much better than normal sun lenses. Those lenses are highly recommended in every condition characterized by an extreme brightness (i.e. seaside water) because they can ensure an higher comfort compared to non-polarized lenses; in combination with the base color of the lenses they can also enhance the color perception (colors appear more saturated).

Photochromic Lens Those lenses become automatically darker or brighter thanks to a chemical reaction which takes place when luminosity changes or in presence of UV-light. When sunlight is not intense the lenses become brighter and become darker if exposed to elevated luminosity. The use of photochromic filters offers protection over various luminosity situations, ensuring the optimal vision with a single pair of glasses.

Red Hd Sport Lens This new red Carrera lens absorbs the 99% of blue light, that doesn’t focus on the retina which is the focusing screen of the eye whereas other colors focus close to the retina. Removing the blue light, we can see colors in high definition. Objects appear clearer, sharper, and well defined. You get amazing clarity and the best protection. Those lenses have also an anti-reflective coating, a particular transparent and multi-layer coating obtained with a vacuum technique, that can avoid the reflection on the inner-surface of the lens. The treatment is applied only on the lens’ internal surface. The glasses mounting those lenses eliminate the solar-reflection guaranteeing a better visual in particular while driving or with backward or lateral-coming sunlight.
