Our long-term partner Duke produces the major part of our collection and has three sites in Vietnam, which we asked the FWF to audit in September 2015. Over the years Duke has gained a lot of experience working with the FWF and therefore prepares and handles audit processes very professionally. The FWF audit team consist of three members who are all (in this case) Vietnamese. To work efficiently the FWF always uses an audit team that is knowledgeable of the local language, local labour relations and local law and regulations. Before the official audit, the team already conducts interviews outside the factory premises. The idea behind this procedure is that the FWF wants to give the workers an opportunity to speak freely and provide information offsite without any fear for negative consequences. The actual audit then takes place inside the factory premises and with the audit team splitting up into their respective fields of expertise. While one member is responsible
