NewLife-assist

Australia is a rapidly evolving and diverse society. Thus, housing needs and the corresponding housing markets change in line with the structure and needs of the Australian communities. Australia holds a national housing conference every two years to consider the implications of Australian population diversities, as well as changes in demographics. As a corollary, duly responses for the housing market have been formulated and analysed by relevant authorities. Adequate and safe housing are the foundation for individuals and community well-being. Australian psychologists have become extremely concerned about the estimated 105,000 people who on any given night are homeless. In fact, there is evidently a surge in the number of people, particularly families, do not have stable accommodation. Homelessness is a key determinant of health and hence, is associated with many poor health outcomes. This includes the distressing statistics showing that people who are homeless are 34 times more likely to suicide, 25 times more likely to die, and 150 times more likely to die a violent death, than the general population (Hodgetts, 2009). In this respect, a new programme is designed and proposed as an endeavour to zealously tackle the issues of homelessness in Australia. This programme is named as ‘NewLife-assist’. It has been intent on providing socially viable options for public through a pro tem programme. Therefore, ‘assist’ implies temporariness, while serving as ‘en route’ to new life. This programme has been intended for public from all walks of life, including family units for which atmospherically embrace, albeit transitory kinds of shelters are catered. Results of architecturally-designed NewLife-assist programme will encompass assistance with schedular measures. This programme always requires involvements by all people, and jointly. These people are to be accommodated at 609 Wellington Street PERTH 6000. Currently as proposed, NewLife-assist offers 46 units. NewLife-assist programme at the proposed site comprises: (i) 8 units (crisis care); (ii) 20 units (transitional care); (iii) 6 units (affordable/rental housing A); and (iv) 12 units (affordable/rental housing B). $V WKH KRPHOHVV SRSXODWLRQ VRDUV RXU VRFLHW\ IDFHV GLIÂżFXOW FKDOOHQJHV RQ KRZ WR DFFRPPRGDWH VXFK JURZWK while trying to reintegrate everyone back into mainstream society. As a corollary, NewLife-assist is a project continually premised on meeting inherent challenges ahead of these people towards new life into the mainstream society. This may be feasible through uses of education in conjunction with teaching of basics. Some recommendations include job skills, expertise, specialisation together with decision-making attributes are crucial in contributing to success. NewLife-assist also proposes to deal with homeless families and children. This can be achievable through providing social and educational services to all-age children. The major goals for the project not only to help with reintegration, but also to begin the transformation process progressing into how our society views the homeless population. Design of the NewLife-assist thus splits the project into 4 units as mentioned above. These measures target to help evaluate performance regularly. This will be assessed through efforts contributed by participants in getting through their homelessness. More importantly, this can only be effectively accomplished by the people themselves, through their constant hard work and improvements into the future.
