Thalgo la Beauté Marine Celebrates 60 Years

It was an honour for myself, as Managing Editor for Les Nouvelles Esthetiques & Spa Magazine to attend the event on the evening of Wednesday 9th October, at the Two Oceans Aquarium in the V&A Waterfront, to celebrate 60 Years of Excellence with Thalgo la Beauté Marine. Congratulations!!

Over 70 VIP Guests arrived at the Aquarium, and were welcomed with a glass of Anna Christina Cap Classique Bubbly, generously supplied by Stellenbosch Hills' Birgit Andrag. She also supplied wine for the evening, with each bottle being personalised with a special Thalgo Birthday tag.

Guests were ushered into the Shark and Kelp Forest Exhibit, where everything Thalgo was on full display - From personalised Thalgo Cupcakes, to Thalgo branding on the Podium in front of the Shark Tank, to a Thalgo French Riviera-inspired Photo wall!

Alison Yammin, COO of Marine Spa Distributors and Thalgo SA, opened the evening with a welcome and a thank you to our special guests. A highlight was when Alison was speaking on the opening slide, explaining the importance of preserving marine life, a clip of 'Jaws' played, and at this very moment the 2 beautiful resident ragged-tooth Sharks swam by!

Debbie Merdjan, CEO of Marine Spa Distributors and Thalgo SA, spoke of the 18 incredible Years of Distributing Thalgo la Beauté Marine in Southern Africa.

Thalgo Head Office in France represented with two of our esteemed colleagues flying out to support and join for the festivities.

Thalgo International Export Director, Jean-Loup Proutheau led the Cupcake Cheers - 'La Sante Marine', or 'to Good Health' - after divulging some great information on the way forward for the Thalgo group.

Thalgo Business Development Manager, Nawael Marechal, spoke about the soon to be launched French Riviera; Sun and Sand, and the Cica Marin; Sensitive Skin Prebiotic Treatments! There were many 'Oos and Aahs' resonating around the group.

After the speeches concluded, everyone was invited to visit the Sales Pods where the new ranges were on display, together with the new iBeauty PRO device.

Guests made their way to the Kelp Forest where a 360-degree camera was set up to get the party started! Beautiful gift bags were handed out. The evening was a huge success, the Thalgo love was in the air, and we are so incredibly proud to be representing such a strong, beautiful, effective and inspiring brand!
