The concept for the Orgatec 2018 IIDA booth is “Contrasting Perspectives”. With the use of CONTRASTING MATERIALS such as light wood grain, dark stone, leather, and matte paint, the concept is evident. IIDA’s main focus is forming a global community for current Interior Design Professionals and future Interior Designers, too. With a GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE in mind, IIDA welcomes CONTRASTING VIEWPOINTS and ideas that provide opportunities for all members and potential members.

This area of the booth is a “showroom” for an interactive Virtual Reality experience that designers of all ages and levels of profession will enjoy. Walk-through a 3D models in full scale, full immersion. This system is often used to review detailed design with end-users from medical product design to decorative art designs. This system allows users to literally walk through any BIM model in real time while manipulating the scene per their needs and commands. There is also the possibility ti add a 2nd fully immersed user where necessary and represent each other as an avatar in the simulation. This system is not limited by the size/location of projection surfaces and allows users to experience the model from all lines of sight and positions just as he/she would in the physical environment. Within the 3D experience, the attendees are able to add their own designs to the provided virtual environments. Afterwards, the users can take a look at what they have created in the media center and will be able to share them on social media with fellow designers.
