What Is Colorectal Cancer Colorectal Cancer is a cancer of the large intestine. The large intestine is a digestive organ that extracts the last amount of water present in indigestible foods and channels the waste out. Small non-cancerous clumps of cells called adenomatous polyps are first noticed on this organ, and if ignored, it can grow into colon cancer.

Symptoms Signs and symptoms of colon cancer include: • • • • • •

A change in your bowel behavior such as diarrhea, constipation and other related bowel issues. Rectal bleeding or blood in your stool Continuous abdominal discomfort such as cramps or pain. Consistent feeling that your bowel doesn’t empty completely Weakness or fatigue Unexplained weight loss

People of much older age are more prone to colon cancer. Although it occurs in younger people, only in a few.
