I believe architecture is a medium to improve social living standard. My career goal is to contribute my knowledge back to Hong Kong society to improve its social image through architecture. In my mind, social image improvement is not simply building eye-catching architecture. The most important issue is how to balance and maintain the cultural and natural environment. Architecture is not an art work or shelter. Local context is extremely important. I choose your company to practice my architectural goal because I share same vision with the company. I believe architecture opens up a city through new creation path. Innovative architecture establishes unique expression to a specific place. I like to travel for feeling living attitude of local people, their daily activity and how they interact with the environment harmoniously. It can explore my mind and widen my horizon in order to emerge creation. It is my faith that creative mind is developed by direct participating experiences like looking, touching, smelling and trying. I dream to make a step forward as graduating from bachelor was only the start of my architectural design process. In order to develop my mind, I prefer to work in a real architectural firm for seeking more practices. I believe learning from professionals, discussing with like-mined colleagues and sharing ideas with different parties are the best ways to establish my profession.

The idea is to create a gathering space for the community instead of only servicing audiences who buy tickets for enjoying a formal show, this theatre is designed to meet the need of the public.

design of theatre. It can create voids and circulation space in between. It becomes the circulation route and the connection within the whole building.

focuses
The main of our Gateway were connection between architecture and nature, architecture as a perception of human experience and individual participation experience. People travelling in and out are just like air breathing in and out. The Gateway develops a new discourse in architecture of the Wyndham City.

Concept We are interested in the principles of muscle for carrying out the contraction and relaxation as the control factor of breathing. The wave of contraction and relaxation are studied. The exploration of breathing was shifted from human to city.

Modelling
Physical model was essential to testify reliability and practicality of the design. Throughout the process of transforming the digital model to the physical model, we faced challenges and gained experience in different stages. We solved the connection problem by planning the ground touching points and extended the bases of our strips. In addition, voids were created to reserve space for holding the strips.

The project located at the old district of Hong Kong as to replace tenements. The building is designed for middle-class family with multi-functional club house, car park & shopping arcade. The concept of TERRACE is from idea of ‘retaining’ . Not limited to physical retaining feature, My design look deeply into spiritual ideology about the balcony exposure feature of Tong Lau.
Concept Terrace present a sense of growth, some energetic activities take place in playground and swimming pool located at the podium. Waving provides a sense of flowing. The curve planning of shop matches with the smooth flow of visitors.
