We’re proud to present our first exclusive fashion edition! Our goal for this edition was to bring forth a group of talented designers in Chicago that have awesome brands, a drive, and most important, passion for their crafts. The fashion industry in Chicago is becoming interestingly popular and some of the most important people who make brands stand out are MODELS! We were very fortunate to have cover girl Bonnie May so effortlessly represent the Urban Wasteland Campaign and have such an important role in the direction of this edition. MUA’s and hairstylist also had an enormous role in making the already gorgeous models look polished and feel confident. The LeveL-Up! Magazine family has grown! We appreciate you all for showing interest and putting in work at photo shoots and events. Last but not least, I have to thank my wonderful husband and partner for his solid gold dedication and hard work laying out and organizing this entire issue! Let’s go back on a journey when dressing up was the norm and every woman had classic pieces in her closet. For vintage inspiration, we present to you, a classic beautifully styled shoot collaboratively organized by two super talented designers and fashionistas Dionna Nicole and Paula Michelle. VINTAGE IN THE WOODS is the epitome of vintage awesomeness with a touch of nature. Dionna and Paula embarked on the ultimate journey to bring the awareness and feel of vintage back to the limelight. Dionna Nicole, beauty industry diva and Ohio native came to Chicago for design school and to launch her brand Rehab’d Vintage. “I didn’t want to leave the midwest, I wanted to put us on the map.” As a hairstylist and lover of fashion Dionna continues to make connections throughout the industry. Paula Michelle, handmade vintage jewelry extraordinaire established her brand Vintage Revival in response to the need for a more modern and accessible vintage. Her designs are elegant, feminine and enchanting with elements of edginess. “I’m really inspired by anything vintage and the whole lifestyle of vintage.” Her brand appeals to a wide range of vintage lovers.
