PAPA NERO This charming little settlemenrt with the virgin beach (sand/ pebbles) is situated just about 400m southward from Agios Ioannis. Here the green of the mountains blends with the deep blue of the sea. It is still a secret place for the visitors of Pelion- the white endless beach and the various shades of the blue of the sea create a gorgeous contrast. DAMOUCHARI In Damouhari the blue of the sea is more intense, the flowers and the trees even more colorful. This is perhaps the reason why this particular landscape was chosen for the shooting of the film “Mamma Mia!”. FAKISTRA The Fakistra beach is a wild pebbly paved beach popular for its turquoise waters. There you can feel happy and peaceful. In the northern part of Fakistra there are two historical caves. The sea cave of Panagia Megalomata, which is full of stalactites, and a few meters further up, the cave Krifo Scholio which during the Turkish occupation served as the illegal school of Tsagarada.
