New Media Arts Center Taksim Square,Istanbul Graduation Project,2016 New media art is a genre of art that is created with new technologies such as digital art, computer graphics, computer animation, virtual art, internet art, video games, computer graphics, and 3D printing, and exploring the cultural, social, and aesthetic possibilities of new communication technologies. The presentation of new media art ranges from digital forms of conceptual art to virtual art to physical forms of performances to installations.
New media art is akin to contemporary art but di in the sense that it involves interactivity, networks, and computation and is often about process rather than objects, an aspect which makes it di the traditional art museum categories. (Graham, Cook 2010) Being inevitably technical and medium-based, new media art problematizes the unstable relation between the digital and the physical, thus raising challenges as to its presentation (curation, exhibition) and preservation (storage and archiving of a mostly immaterial form of art).

TAKSIM SQUARE
Gross Floor Area entrance from Taksim SqÄąare / Ataturk Cultural Center
ATATURK CULTURAL CENTER
N The project focuses on problems of Taksim square where is losing it is square function day by day and transforming a transition point. So, the initial idea is a revitalization of the Taksim square thanks to a new public urban area. To prevent the feeling of insecurity at the large and undefined area in Taksim, the project is gathering people under a shell structure. Just like the rectangular solid mass of AKM with a modern grid facade , this project has a grid shell which covers rectangular mass from up to down. Structure is a modern interpretation of the AKM's facade with triangulated surfaces.

Generative Algorithms Eggshell Formation In Drosophilids Term Project,2016 The eggshells of drosophilid species provide a powerful model for studying the origins of morphological diversity. The dorsal appendages,or respiratory filaments, of these eggshells, display a remarkable interspecies variation in number and shape, and the epithelial patterning underlying the formation of these structures is an area of active research. To extend the analysis of dorsal appendage formation to include morphogenesis, 3D image reconstruction approach is developed. This approach revealed considerable interspecies variation in the cell shape changes and neighbor exchanges underlying appendage formation. Specifically, although the appendage floor in Drosophila melanogaster is formed through spatially ordered neighbor exchanges, the same structure in Scaptodrosophila pattersoni is formed through extreme changes in cell shape, combination of both cellular mechanisms. Research results suggest that species deploy di mechanisms to convert a two-dimensional primordium into a 3d-dimensional structure, and provide new directions for exploring the molecular origins of interspecies morphological

Similar analogy with morphogenesis during eggshell formation in drosophilids is applied to design an open public area.

Distorted hexagonal grid structure creates a circular circulation thanks to sprial attractor. Also, it creates volumetric differences under the structure.
Asisted Living Campus Harbor Area, Izmir Masterplan Project,2016
Palliative care is the name given to healthcare of patients in the terminal stage of serious illnesses without a cure.It consists of improving the quality of life and relieving pain for such patients through medical drugs and psychological counselling. The life expectancy of the population increasing especially in the western part of the globe. Elderly care is seen to occupy an important niche in modern healthcare.Again, because of the extended family structure in Turkey and the problems related with existing elderly care units, the aging population is seen to remain home in Turkey. Our focus on these theme assisted living in the exploration and design of an asisted living facility located at the city center of Izmir. The location is significant for Izmir is the town where Hippocrates, the founder of Greek medicine lived and where Galen of Pergamum developed his medical theory and practice.

Interactive Ceiling Installation METU,Ankara Industrial Design Term Project,2015
KUKLA[triangle origami] is an interactive ceiling that responds to human activity below it. When there is no one under the ceiling it moves slowly by itself. However, it pulls itself upwards if it detects movement beneath it. The product aims to create different spatial qualities and engaging experiences in long corridors and large open spaces. As a result, these leftover areas gain social qualities where people enjoy beign a part of.

Transportation Museum Sirkeci,Istanbul Museum in Historical Context,2015
Given site was a car park in front of the Sirkeci Train Station which was built in 19th century. Also in the site there is another building which is belonged to the same century.Sirkeci Train Station has very organimanted facade. To find the balance between modern and historical architecture was the first priority of the project. At the west part of the our site there was old railways. These railways give me an inspration to create an analogy between train and building. Relationship between railways and the mass is created thanks to horizantal movement of three blocks.

When we come to the interior,I try to create fluid movement between each block. When we entered the building, which is the backbone of the building and open exhibition areas are moving to this area I call the tunnel and allows us to spread to other volumes in the same train as scissors. ZZ Courtyards Oran,Ankara Mass Housing,2015
Topographical conditions of the site was very serious challenge for this project.Level difference is 32 meters, between two points of the site. So, using the slope effectively was one of the aim of the project. Also, to use the sunlight and interaction some arrangement applied to the masses. Two courtyards are arranged according to the sunlight.
MASS PERIMETER BLOCKS ARE CREATING STRONG EFFECT
Social spaces are locating at the ground floor and private spaces are at the upper floors.Barcode facade system is applied to facade of the building. To achieve it house types are arranged according to the creation of this rhtym.

Permaculture Farm YalÄąncak Forest,Ankara Sustainable Project,2013
Permaculture house in the project must be an educational center for Metu trainees. But in that permaculture area, they will also learn respect to the nature.Trainees will be taught that the building and all the area must be ecological and must use minimum energy while giving maximum effort. Also dialogue between the nature and building is very important.
MASS PERIMETER BLOCKS ARE CREATING STRONG EFFECT
To increase the harmony with the topography, inclined green roof which seems like coming up from the earth, is used. Furthermore, water effeciency both in irrigation system and house is achieved.
