The 2020-2021 season will see the arrival of three major brand pillars and stories: HERO, WE RISE and RIDE FREE. The launch will be spearheaded by HERO, a benchmark in the racing arena, which will continue to amaze with the technical quality of its products and the achievements of its heroes. WE RISE, the new programme created by and for women. Special products for women, passionate female ambassadors and events to encourage all women to experience ANOTHER BEST DAY. The Band of Heroes saga is making a fresh start in Kitzbühel. To encourage its new generation of heroes, our famous band has reunited, sharing the frenzy of competition in a joyous improvised race at the summit of the most world’s famous slope, the Kitzbühel Streif. It’s not about age, level and medals in this group. Dreams, hopes and desires are what matter. What remains is the indescribable joy of sharing emotions and excitement at

the start gate, the rush of speed, fulfilment on the slopes, the flame that burns with effort and the glow of victory. The DOUBLE LCT ABS construction is an adaptation of Line Control Technology on wider skis to improve line control with power and energy.

A high POP FACTOR describes a ski with rebound and high-octane flex for young skiers. Whereas a ski with a low POP FACTOR offers stability and comfort for cruising-style skiing.

DOUBLE LCT VISCO The DOUBLE LCT VISCO construction is an adaptation of Line Control Technology on wider skis to improve line control with comfort and snow feel.

TITANAL BEAM The TITANAL BEAM delivers the right amount of power under the foot and enhances grip across the entire length of the ski.

ABS BEAM 3

EXTENDED CORE The EXTENDED CORE construction increases ski-snow contact and the torsional stability of the ski, boosting precision and control in varied snow conditions.

The ABS BEAM works like a platform under the foot and guarantees a combination of grip and smoothness for heightened sensations on each turn.

ECO-CONCEPTION The skis in the BLACKOPS range have been developed with close attention to the selection of raw materials and the use of recycled materials to minimise our environmental impact. All skis concerned are either FSC® or PEFC™ certified.

Its motto when it comes to designing skiboots is THE RIGHT WEIGHT: Lightness is an essential feature in modern skiboots; however, we have accepted no tradeoff in performance, precision or comfort. Any boot needs to have the right weight, and this is governed, first and foremost, by its use. The technologies used in our ranges have been selected to strike the optimum balance between weight, performance and comfort.

New in 20/21: an update to the RACE range, a makeover for the PURE range, and a completely new JUNIOR range. • After impressive victories at the Giant Slalom World Championships for Henrik Kristoffersen and Petra Vhlova, the boots have been decorated in the colours of these world champions. An impactful range in keeping with the brand’s DNA. • Designed following feedback about what some of our female customers need and want, the PURE range offers a new subtle design and linings that are as soft as ever. • Designing a junior boot is just as complex, if not more so than designing an adult boot. Rossignol has used all the expertise of its R&D teams and carried out a number of tests with children when working on this new range of 3- and 4-buckle boots. All models in the range fitted with low-tech inserts are now pre-mounted with GRIPWALK® heelpieces. For the vast majority of other models, GRIPWALK® heelpieces are available as a kit.

DUAL CORE TECHNOLOGY The entire HERO WORLD CUP and HERO range features the DUAL CORE technology. DUAL CORE technology involves injecting materials with different hardness levels into the same mould, with three injection points in the shell and two injection points in the cuff. The result is a sandwich construction with an ultra-thin layer of hard materials on the outside encapsulating the softer materials inside. Henrik KRISTOFFERSEN (NOR)

This technology can be used to accurately fine-tune the progressive flex, rear support and rebound. It also allows for highly effective lateral power transfer.

92 mm PLUS INTERNAL LAST: Based on the 92 mm internal last, the forefoot and ankle areas have been redesigned to offer greater tolerance and strike a better balance between precision and comfort. 97 mm INTERNAL LAST: The best precision/comfort ratio for experts, but without necessarily being competitive skiers. 100 mm INTERNAL LAST: A new Medium internal last based on the 97 mm version for wider feet.

LINERS FULL CUSTOM FIT

For improved precision and performance, these liners are fully customisable to mould perfectly to the shape of the foot. The internal padding, exterior upper and tongue are all customisable. FULL CUSTOM T1 Dual-material padding: EPDM HARD/FLEXALON or EPDM SOFT/FLEXALON. Customisation applies only in the comfort zones, the support zones remain unchanged. TECHNOLOGY

ALLTRACK Our vision is to conquer the entire mountain and expand the playing field by adding a new dimension. The balance between performance and the right weight to explore all the facets of the mountain.

GENERATIVE DESIGN GRID STRUCTURE The Generative Design Grid structure allows material thicknesses to be reduced to save weight, while ensuring a sufficiently rigid structure for excellent skiability.

ALLTRACK AUGMENTED MOUNTAIN - To explore the mountain even more fully, hike and ski, up and down, all with lightness, performance and comfort. - To move around freely on the mountain and explore all dimensions of the terrain.

PRE-SHAPED LINER The lower part of these liners is pre-shaped around the ankle bone to ensure a snug fit with the shell’s internal last. The shape can be seen on the outside of the liner.

The DUAL CORE technology works in synergy with the Generative Design Grid. It makes it possible to reduce weight while retaining rigidity. This is essential to ensure a high level of skiability. We inject 2 materials with different hardnesses, one after the other, to create a sandwich. This allows us to create zones of different hardness on the boot, without adding layers of plastic and therefore weight.

An insert made from flexible materials is placed on top of the shell to allow easier foot entry. This ensures that the boot is still easy to put on, despite the high flex index and very rigid plastic materials.

EASE OF USE HIKE MODE

The liner is an essential component of a ski boot. It provides comfort, precision and performance. It is easy to remove weight, but this immediately impacts skiability and comfort. The ALLTRACK liners are well balanced and the right weight. The structure has been retained in areas where this was essential for comfort and performance. The tongue, which plays a key role in the quality of flexion and transmission, is based on an alpine structure. The zone at the back is designed to make it easier to walk. For improved precision and performance, these liners are fully customisable to mould perfectly to the shape of the foot. The internal padding, exterior upper and tongue are all customisable.

These Rocker heel pieces make walking significantly easier, while offering the same level of skiability and safety as alpine heel pieces.

LINER CUSTOM

Heelpieces according to the GripWalk® standard are pre-fitted on the ALLTRACK PRO 130 GW model and are available as a kit for all other models.

FULL CUSTOM T1 Dual-material padding: EPDM HARD/FLEXALON or EPDM SOFT/FLEXALON. Customisation applies only in the comfort zones, the support zones remain unchanged.

EASE OF USE ROCKER HEELPIECES - GRIPWALK®

3/ A metal/metal unlocking mechanism for the cuff to create a more rigid boot structure. This design results in a higher flex index and a level of performance close to that of a boot with a fixed cuff.

On the ALLTRACK boots, the Dual Core technology is used on the lower part of the shell - which increases torsional rigidity and makes the boot easier to put on.

JUNIOR Because every young skier will one day become a great skier, we pay special attention to the design and development of our junior boots. Creating a boot for children is as complex as creating a boot for adults. Designing a product in this category is always a challenge, and we have met it!

Finally, these boots will be Gripwalk® compatible for easy walking.

With the right weight as our guideline, our R&D teams have created a modern, anatomical boots with a specific design - Junior Cellular design to meet needs for use, comfort and performance. Its design allows for advanced progressive flexion.

LINER COMFORT FIT

The new boot design is intended to be close to the foot, with thin layers to save weight. The HERO J4 model weighs 1,090 g (1/2 pair). It also allows for excellent progressive flexion, essential for good skiability.

The liner is fitted with a welded sole for added thermal insulation.

GRIPWALK® COMPATIBLE

METAL BUCKLES

GripWalk® comes to our JUNIOR range: • From size 18.5 to 22.5: new specifically designed GripWalk® heelpieces. • From size 23: standard 104-mm heelpieces are compatible.

To avoid breakage, particularly on steps, the buckles in these new boots are 100% aluminium. On the other hand, they have also been designed to improve grip.

FLEX ADJUSTMENT 1

ALLSPEED: The shell/cuff connection gives the wearer the option of adjusting the boot’s flex by changing the position of the screws.

This clearly visible asymmetric structure on the inside and outside reduces thickness while reinforcing the torsional and flexural rigidity of the shell and cuff for superior boot performance. The power axes directed towards the front allow perfect steering of the skis.

POLYURETHANE: all boots in the ALLTRACK range are made from Polyurethane for better skiability and easier entry/exit. GRILAMID: this Thermo-Plastic material is one of the lightest on the market and offers very good resistance. It can be used with high-density modules to reduce thicknesses. The ALLTRACK ELITE 130 LT, ALLTRACK ELITE 100 LT WOMEN, ALLTRACK PRO 120 LT models all have Grilamid shells.

PRE-SHAPED LINER

The stem of the liner is pre-shaped around the ankle bones to allow the liner to adapt perfectly to the shell.

SPEED: The flex can be adjusted by removing the screw on the back of the cuff - flex 120 -> 110 - flex 100 -> 90.

LINERS CUSTOMISATION

Liners in the ALLTRACK, TRACK, ALLSPEED, SPEED range featuring the word CUSTOM in their name can be customised. After being heated in an oven, they mould to the shape of the foot.

CUSTOMISATION PROCESS • Place the liners in an oven for 8 minutes at 80°C. • Put the liners inside the shells, making sure there are no creases. • Step into the boot, tightening the buckles starting from the forefoot. • Wait 12 minutes for the thermoforming action to take effect, in a standing position at room temperature.

NOTE: heat liners cannot be customised - Due to the batteries, they must not be placed in an oven.

HIKE MODE On the TRACK models, a mechanism at the rear of the cuff allows you to toggle easily between the SKI and HIKE positions. When the lever is pulled up, a slight flexion to the front is required to unlock the cuff.

THERMAL INSULATION Rossignol liners have excellent thermal insulation thanks to the use of different thermal insulating materials. THINSULATE® STRETCH: This very thin fibre is used mainly in clothing thanks to its elasticity which supports freedom of movement. In a liner, it works ideally with the other materials to provide perfect foot support for great skiability. WINTHERM® is a highly effective thermal insulator. Positioned at the forefoot, it comprises a sheet of micro-perforated aluminium that allows air to circulate and a polar fleece material to guarantee warmth and comfort.

SKIBOOTS We are three women - Armelle, Ornella and Fabienne - who design the women’s boots in the Rossignol range and we pay close attention to women and their needs and desires. The main focuses of our work are: • Thermal insulation, a key point for women’s boots. This is both active, thanks to 2 heated models in the PURE range - including one that can be adjusted via Bluetooth using a smartphone, and passive: we have conducted laboratory tests to confirm all the properties of the Merino Wool (REDA), THINSULATE STRETCH® and WINTHERM® that we use on our models.

HEAT MODELS The PURE PRO HEAT model features a heating system that can be adjusted via Bluetooth using a Therm-ic® app available to download free of charge using the attached link. www.therm-ic.com/fr/content/13-application-therm-icheat-control.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE YOUR FIT? To make it easier to understand the different fits available, we have drawn our inspiration from the clothing industry and arranged our fits into four categories. The different fits have been designed to address various foot shapes and also deliver the level of support required, bearing in mind its direct influence on performance.

A narrow fit for all proficient women skiers prioritising perfect foot support without any trade-off in comfort. LAST 100 mm

1. Connect the USB cable. The charging indicator lights up and turns green. Then plug in the two connectors linked to each boot. The indicator turns red and charging begins. 2. When the batteries are fully charged, the charging indicator turns green. Charging stops automatically. The charging time is between four and six hours.

3. Unplug the two boot connectors from the USB cable. 4. Connector trap on the Boot Integrated System. During and after charging, the Boot Integrated System remains in the mode in which it was set before charging. It is recommended that you switch OFF the Boot Integrated System during and after charging to keep it at full charge when it is not in use. Charging time is approximately 4-6 hours.

A classic fit that will satisfy a large number of women skiers wishing to strike the perfect balance between support and comfort. LAST 102 mm

The heating system integrated in Therm-ic® ski liners has four modes: stop and levels 1, 2 and 3. These modes are indicated by the LED for the heating speed. The number of flashes of the LED indicates the selected heat setting. The integrated heating system can be adjusted to three different settings (level 1, level 2 and level 3) using the control panel. If the LED indicating the heating level is not illuminated, this means the heating system integrated in the Therm-ic® ski liners is switched off.

A generous fit for all women skiers looking mainly for comfort, as well as for all those with fairly wide feet. LAST 104 mm

SWITCHING ON: Press and hold (for around 3 seconds) the function button to set the integrated system to the lowest heating level. Holding the button for more than 6 seconds will cause the liners will go into safety mode and switch off.

> LEVEL 2: two flashes, medium heat setting. > LEVEL 3: constant illumination, high heat setting. If the system is in pause mode, you will first need to activate it. PAUSE MODE: If you do not press the button within 10 seconds, the system will switch to pause mode. Press the function button (for around a second) to activate the system, which will then switch back to the last selected heat setting.

LINERS TECHNOLOGY

All women’s boots have liners that are specifically designed to suit the female body shape. Women’s liners are cut lower to accommodate differences in calf shape. They also have a more open shape for a more comfortable fit. The padding in the upper liner is very flexible to prevent any discomfort around the calf. The lining materials are very soft and comfortable, and are designed with a simple objective in mind: to make you want to put your foot in the boot.

This app allows you to very easily adjust the temperature setting. Two modes can be used to manage the batteries. - Eco mode allows you to choose a heating period - for example: 4 minutes heating followed by 2 minutes off. - Movement mode: heating starts each time the skier stops.

An extremely narrow fit for women skiers in search of excellent support to ensure a high level of skiability. It is also the ideal fit for women with slender feet looking for excellent foot support. LAST 98 mm

THERMAL INSULATION DEDICATED THERMAL INSULATION: since insulation is especially important in women’s boots, all liners have passive thermal insulation based on the following materials: MERINO wool, WINTHERM® and THINSULATE STRETCH®. Our laboratory-based thermal imaging studies show that these materials give our liners excellent thermal insulation.

CUSTOM LINERS FOR WOMEN Liners in the ALLTRACK, PURE, PURE COMFORT range featuring the word CUSTOM in their name can be customised. After being heated in an oven, they mould to the shape of the skier’s foot. See page 81 of the catalogue for more information about this process. NOTE: heat liners cannot be customised - Due to the batteries, they must not be placed in an oven.

THE LINERS HAVE EITHER:

1 TOTAL THERMAL INSULATION: the insulator is all around the foot.

2 FOREFOOT THERMAL INSULATION: the insulator is around the forefoot in the toe area.

SWITCHING OFF: To switch off the system integrated in Therm-ic® ski liners, press and hold the button (for three seconds, until the heat setting LED is no longer illuminated).

SETTINGS: Press the function button once (for around a second) to increase the heat setting (level 1, level 2 or level 3). > LEVEL 1: one flash, low heat setting.

DEDICATED WOMEN’S CUFFS The height of the cuff is significantly lower in comparison with a unisex cuff. The tulip-shaped rear section easily accommodates a woman’s natural calf shape. It is less structured to take better account of female skiers’ power.

1. Enable Bluetooth on your phone and then open the Therm-ic® Heat Control app. 2. Connect the batteries: when the start screen appears, switch on your two batteries by pressing and holding each button. Continuous illumination of the red LED indicates that your batteries are switched on. Rapid flashing of the LED shows that Bluetooth is now enabled. 3. Add the batteries: click the “+” button in the middle to show your batteries in Bluetooth. Then click “add” to connect the two batteries to your phone.

4. Heat settings: the first screen allows you to adjust the heat setting for both batteries at the same time. You can increase or reduce the level of heat from 1 to 10. You can also switch off the heat temporarily by pressing pause. 5. Heat settings - individual: the second screen allows you to adjust the heat setting for each battery individually. By default, they are at the same level, but this option can be customised.

THINSULATE® STRETCH

More than a thermal insulator, Merino wool is a natural thermal regulator. Its main qualities are: thermal control, soft feel, breathability, odour control and fast drying.

Wintherm proved to be an especially effective thermal insulator in our laboratory tests. Positioned at the forefoot, it comprises a sheet of micro-perforated aluminium that allows air to circulate and a polar fleece material to guarantee warmth and comfort.

Used mainly in clothing, this extremely fine fibre improves freedom of movement thanks to its elasticity. In a liner, it works ideally with the other materials to provide perfect foot support for great skiability.

The density and quality of the foam are important factors to consider. Featuring single, double or tripledensity foam, Rossignol goggles stay securely in place and feel comfortable to wear thanks to the very soft fleece covering.

An anti-fog coating is applied to the lens with the aim of guaranteeing the best possible visibility in all conditions.

TORIC LENSES provide both horizontal and vertical curvature, extending the lateral field of vision while optimising the overall size of the goggles. Rossignol and Zeiss have pooled their expertise to develop a toric lens offering a very wide field of vision, optical performance and maximum comfort while retaining compact goggle dimensions to ensure a perfect fit with a helmet.

STRAP To help goggles stay in place over a helmet - some goggle straps are coated in silicone.

SPHERICAL LENSES provide both horizontal and vertical curvature, following the shape of the retina. This technological effect reduces optical distortion to a minimum. CYCLINDRICAL LENSES provide solely horizontal goggle curvature. This gives them a larger field of vision and therefore improved comfort when descending.
