The 1st Open Black Belt Taekwon-Do World Championship in Korea is available to any Martial Arts Black Belt practitioners and will be run following ITF rules.

he event is organized by ITF HQ Korea and Unified International Taekwon-Do Federation and will take place between 30 July and 2 August 2013 in Seoul.
Most competitors will be able to compete in the following individual and team events: patterns, sparring, special techniques and power breaking. Most of these events will be available to competitors as young as 10 years of age. The participants will be divided into 4 main categories that will be further divided by gender: Young juniors (10-14 years of age), Juniors (15-17 years of age), Adults (18-35 years of age) and Seniors over 36 years of age.
Teams will consist of 3-5 members depending on the age group or competition category with mixed genders for team patterns where young juniors and Seniors divisions are concerned. This competition setting will secure a fair and safe competition environment that will provide a ground for the best showcase of skills.
