Bill Barrett Over the course of an evolving artistic career, Bill Barrett has explored the interplay between positive and negative space with grace, elegance, and exquisite balance. Barrett’s works call to mind the fluid effortlessness of calligraphic strokes and betray a positivism to which many viewers feel drawn. Others have said that Barrett’s sculptures are distinctly American in their directness and lightness. The works manifest a striking quality of kinesis that manages to seem graceful and organic despite the solidity of the metal medium.

Jim Rennert

Jim Rennert, Think Big, 2013, bronze, 150 x 48 x 48

Jim Rennert's figurative sculpture uses three-dimensional space to make accessible allegorical assertions about complex truths derived from daily life, especially those encountered in the world of business. As his epigrammatic titles suggest, the sculptures resonate concise, often subtle, visual metaphors of challenge, triumphs, and dilemmas commonly encountered along the sometimes difficult path of one's career. Combining wit and sophisticated whimsy with contemplative imagery, their presence is both powerful and quietly thought-provoking.
