Superflex
Superflex • Deconstruct: This work is linked with deconstruct because it is destroying/ deconstruc3ng an object from its original form, seKng the car on fire gives it a different look to its old form meaning it has been deconstructed.

Oscar Tuazon • Reconstruct: This work is linked to Reconstruc3on because it is rebuilding a structure out of recycled cardboard boxes, the recycled boxes are being to form a new shape of an igloo.

MaH Calderwood • Structure: This work is linked with structure because it is made into a 3D structure made out of different objects that are all held together.
Analysis of work. • I have used dark colours in my work such as brown, blue, greens and purples. The colours make me feel as if I’m in a lonely dark place. • I have used a blue acrylic paint to cover an A5 card but dabbed the brush to paint it making it a ruth texture to the work, I have covered another A5 card with brown acrylic and layered a piece of 3ssue paper on top then crunching it up to create a bumpy textures to the work. • I have marbled an A4 piece of paper with coloured oils to create a mul3-‐ coloured look to the work, this work was every successful because it can show many emo3ons in the work and many colours of warm and cold colours. • My unsuccessful work was my acrylic and Indian ink piece of work because I did it wrong thinking I could scratch off the ink to see the blue acrylic but it just stuck on. But this piece of work has a very good texture to it. • I am now going to experiment with different techniques.

Analysis of photos • I have taken photos around the college of places that I think look abandoned or could end up having an effort of looking abandoned. • I edited the photos giving it a sepia effect, I think sepia was a good idea as it makes the photos look old and a more scary feeling to the photos.

I have chosen Abandoned as my project, I have been using photoshop to create abandoned photos and a video as my final piece. I have used ar3sts that have worked with abandoned places and created them into art. They have inspired me because it shows that old dull abandoned places can be turned into art and can be every crea3ve as it’s a mystery of what could be created. Ager researching the work of Alex Brewer I got the idea of instead of making the places new with colour but to do the opposite and make them more old and dull than they already are or crea3ng the effect of abandoned to used buildings I have been doing mainly photography in my project. My final outcome of my project is mainly photography and edi3ng, I could of experimented with some 2D techniques into my project. I think my video was most successful because it portrays more abandoned in my whole project, it also has a mixture of media that I have used throughout my project. I have used full colour in my video but some clips have been edited as sepia to give it an old abandoned look. My work can be described as dull and depressing because there is no bright colours used, the work seems emo3onless, helpless and mysterious. If I had more 3me I would make the video longer with more detail and edi3ng with sound effects, I would experiment with different 2D techniques in my project and add more of my own work to my powerpoint as well as different ar3sts linking with my theme.
