Craig C. Hoffman Adjunct Art Faculty Craig C. Hoffmann received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Maryville University, St. Louis, in 2008 with an emphasis in drawing, painting, and art history. Continuing with his direction in Fine Art, he received his Master of Arts from Fontbonne University, St. Louis in 2009 emphasizing in painting, and remained at Fontbonne concentrating in studio art with a focus on ceramics and sculpture, receiving his Master of Fine Arts in 2010. Hoffmann’s early art career focused on creating digital medical illustrations after earning his Commercial Arts degree from North County Technical Trade School, St. Louis, in 1986. Working eighteen years as a graphic artist, he felt the void of hands-on interaction with various mediums generating an internal drive to re-establish himself as a “fine artist.” His current works focus on ceramics that are painstakingly handcrafted using Native American coiling traditions spanning from traditional to elegant organic abstract compositions inspired by architecture and nature. Hoffmann currently resides in Wentzville, MO, working out of his studio at home. He teaches ceramics at St. Charles Community College along-side studio and lecture courses at Lewis and Clark. choffmann@lc.edu www.craigchoffmann.com

Diana Yost Adjunct Art Faculty Diana Yost has been teaching at Lewis and Clark for seven years, instructing students in Art Appreciation, Non-Western Art History, and the Art of Film. Her background is in studio art, specifically painting and art history, earning degrees in both areas from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). In Yost’s paintings, she creates new and imaginary spaces inspired by crowded, urban streets juxtaposed against vast, empty landscapes. She enjoys painting in an abstract style, applying thick layers of paint in small streaks across the canvas. Yost’s recent paintings have challenged her by working on a smaller scale, allowing her to zoom in and focus on detailed moments within the painting. Her color schemes currently range from dark blues to teals and blacks contrasted against large, white, open spaces. Yost is also exploring the ideas of isolation, solitude, and making large spaces such as cities feel small and intimate. dlyost@lc.edu

Jody Jedlicka Adjunct Art and Graphic/Web Design Faculty It was never a thought for Jody Jedlicka to create. That is until she got a camera in her hand. This desire to capture everything grew into a love for many artistic endeavors. Her passion is film photography, then digital photography. Jedlicka has grown to need to draw and paint as well, especially combining the two in brush painting endeavors and graphic manipulation. These represent a few of her interests. Graphic manipulation of images, black and white film and drawing. She hopes you enjoy them. Jedlicka is an alumna of Lewis and Clark, going on to Fontbonne University for completion of her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts, with emphasis on Film Photography and Painting. Jedlicka’s style is evolving with each image and the journey surprises her as much as those around her. www.photographicimagerybyjo.com
