The design was profoundly influenced by the specific placement of the tree within the site, dictating the distinctive contours and layout of the floor plan. This natural element not only served as a focal point but also inspired the overall architectural concept, shaping the spatial arrangement and flow of the entire structure. The organic form of the tree infused the design with a sense of harmony and integration with the surrounding environment, creating a truly unique and harmonious architectural expression.

The project involved converting the existing garage into an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) situated at the rear of the property. This transformation not only maximized the use of available space but also presented an opportunity to create a functional and stylish living area. By repurposing the garage, the design aimed to enhance the property’s versatility and value while meeting the growing demand for housing options. Additionally, the renovation facilitated the creation of a multigenerational living space within the same property, fostering a sense of connectedness and convenience for all occupants. The ADU offered a separate and self-contained living area, providing privacy and independence while remaining within close proximity to the main residence.

The L-shaped Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) with a spiral staircase leading to the top of the roof offers much more than just stunning views. In addition to its picturesque location, the ADU provides an ideal space for a home office, allowing users to work in a tranquil environment while surrounded by the beauty of nature. The expansive wood deck offers ample space for outdoor relaxation and entertainment, providing the perfect setting for al fresco dining, gatherings with friends and family, or simply enjoying the fresh air. Moreover, the raised floor foundation not only enhances the structural integrity of the ADU but also helps to mitigate potential flooding and moisture issues, ensuring a comfortable and secure living environment for its occupants.
