So, why use facemasks? Facemasks can help you target a variety of skincare concerns. They help with breakouts, dryness, dullness, etc. The best thing about facemasks (and skincare in general) is the routine of taking care of yourself. Setting aside even the smallest amount of time for yourself can make an amazing difference in the long run. Self care isn’t reserved for women, and it comes in many different forms. In this book, you’ll be able to explore a do-it-yourself avenue for skincare. I encourage you to explore other ways you can set time aside for yourself, too! This book is filled with facemasks that you can make at home with things you most likely already have in your kitchen. Try them out on your own or with some friends! - Lexi

While all of the ingredients in this book are found in the grocery store, it’s important to listen to what your skin is trying to tell you. The masks that exfoliate may prove to be too irritating for more sensitive skin. You can test the masks on your wrist before applying it to your face to see if there may be a negative reaction. Any exfoliation should be done in moderation. It is more harmful than helpful to exfoliate more than two or three times a week. The masks are only fresh for about five days, be sure to dispose of them as soon as they change in color, texture, or smell. The less fresh they are, the less effective they are.
