Blueberry Perry woke up early on Saturday morning.
He couldn’t wait to read watch cartoons paint and listen to music.

His favorite book talked about magic dragons love and friendship.
He felt like he could jump into that book and live there for a while.

Sometimes, he wished school was a little different.
He wanted to paint the stars in the sky instead of talking about them in front of his class.

The project made him feel very nervous. He didn’t want to disappoint his teacher and classmates.
Banana Sam told him to toughen up act more like a boy and stop being so sensitive.

Blueberry Perry didn’t know why only girls were allowed to cry.

On the day he was supposed to present, he painted a star for every classmate and his teacher. He wrote about each different star to go along with them.

CHe didn’t get a good grade because he didn’t talk about the science of the stars.

He was sad, but learned he had to do what his teacher told him to do.

Soon came Kiwi Pia’s space-themed birthday party. Blueberry Perry painted her the night sky, full of stars like the ones he gave to his classmates.

She showed the painting to all of her friends and family. “This is beautiful,� she told him.

Kiwi Pia’s dad thought it was beautiful too. He was also a painter. She told Blueberry Perry to see her dad’s gallery the next night.

Blueberry Perry went. He saw his painting hanging up with his name below it.

“See,” she said, pointing to all of the art-lovers looking at his painting, “I knew they would love it.”

Blueberry Perry felt love excitement and happiness in his heart.

He knew he could be sensitive and successful at the same time.
